When did you first find grey hairs?

Turned 43 last week and literally noticed 6 or so grey hairs appear in the last 3 weeks- had dyed hair since I was 14 and growing out blonde and left with very fucking dull mousey hair - I know I've lucky with no greys until now but shit, they are multiplying rapidly!

Did your grey hairs appear overnight?

The day before my 21st birthday, but not grey - pure white.

I now have a bloody great white stripe emerging from my parting. and one eyebrow in a direct line downwards

and lip and chin

DP says he likes it with the gingery rest of my natural hair. I'm unconvinced, mainly because the gingery used to be a deep, conkery to squirrel-in-a-puddle red and if I wanted to keep it, it would be a right pain to dye everything but the stripe.

Head hair 21. I had a grey eyebrow hair from my mid teens.

LaganOnABubble · 08/04/2019 19:00

I was 14. Got them for real at 30 plus.
Am now totally fox haired at 51.

About 15/16. And my hair is naturally nearly black so those bastards really show up!

35 now, probably at least 50% grey. I dye it every month though so hard to tell.

Lagan you look fabulous! I was 30 last year & my biggest annoyance with them is they’re coming in so slowly, it would be far easier if they all came just came in overnight!

LeekMunchingSheepShagger · 08/04/2019 19:44

Early 30s.

LaganOnABubble · 08/04/2019 20:14

Oh thank you!

AsleepAllDay · 08/04/2019 20:24

25 :(

Yogagirl123 · 08/04/2019 20:26

45

Aimily · 08/04/2019 20:29

I'm 28 and have only stopped colouring my hair white blonde because I'm pregnant and only trust my hairdresser to do it and she won't bleach while pregnant. So I have about 4/5 inches of my natural brunette coming through. I noticed last weekend that I've got about a few greys coming through on over my right ear. My mum started going grey at 25, so I've probably been turning for years😂

HoldMyGirl · 08/04/2019 20:34

I'm mid 30s now and they've been slow - just a few at the temples, but my new eyebrow and chin hairs are white ShockBlush

Fatted · 08/04/2019 20:36

I'm 39 in a few weeks and most of my hair is growing though grey now. Sad

I noticed my first greys in my 20's. It's really got worse in my 30s, since having kids Hmm

Lllot5 · 08/04/2019 20:40

55 still don’t have any. Advantage of being red head.

alltoomuchrightnow · 08/04/2019 20:40

I found two when I was about 45. Now 48 and they haven't worsened

hmwhatsmynameagain · 08/04/2019 20:42

Early thirty's for eyebrows, just plucked and pencilled. 39 for head hair, was growing out bleach, made hairdressers appointment for highlights since

pastaparadise · 08/04/2019 20:43

39 - few months after dc1 was born. Now 43 and have a few where post dc2 baby hair has come in round my temples. Luckily not too noticeable in blond/ mousy hair, but dread getting more.

Whats worse is that i found a bright white pube recently. Awful! I dont want a hollywood but also hate the idea of white pubes!!

SmarmyMrMime · 08/04/2019 20:44

Found the first one in my early 30s. Late 30s now and it's got a couple of mates. I've got just about every shade mixed in my hair, but they are thicker than the blondes.

I'm sure DH hasn't noticed yet. He started going grey through his 20s and was rather grey by 40 and I'm sure he won't be able to resist ribbing me when he notices, although he normally fails to notice things like haircuts!

Bacciferous · 08/04/2019 20:45

About 19/20. Am 38 now and almost completely white! At least would be without the dye

Susanna30 · 08/04/2019 20:46

I found four greys on my 24th birthday. One of which was pointed out to me by a colleague!

5 years later and I have a couple more but not many and thankfully not very noticeable.

ChiefSpoon · 08/04/2019 20:49

21 ish. 27 and have a few stripes now. Allergic to most hair dye and hair grows super quick - sod dying it fortnightly. Grombre for me!

stucknoue · 08/04/2019 20:49

None yet at 45, but being fair with lots of natural variation they would blend

Justonemorepancake · 08/04/2019 20:51

33, when I had DS

JurassicGirl · 08/04/2019 20:52

I was 37 when I first spotted one. My mum was early 40's 😊

Yabadabadont · 08/04/2019 20:53

13 or 14Hmm
