I know the real answer to this is Costco but that isn't a possibility

Costa's was too hard.

Can reach a Starbucks, Pret and a M&S.

To the cinnamon bun police, Gail’s version doesn’t have icing but is definitely a cinnamon bun not a whirl. And is fab Wink

QuestionableMouse · 03/04/2019 21:58

Lidl ones aren't that nice. I had one yesterday that was weirdly try and tasted quite fake. It had just been put out so want stale or anything either.

Tolleshunt · 03/04/2019 22:08

Gail's. But then, they do the best everything!

justasking111 · 03/04/2019 22:12

Tesco tear and share. I did get some lovely ones in a Morrisons once.

Oh look someone has done a taste test.

I never knew there’s be so many Gail’s fans on there waves I’m a HUGE fan of their sausage rolls and brownie fingers mmmmm

Fairypiggy · 03/04/2019 22:15

Rollers cafe in the Arndale Center in Manchester.

BertrandRussell · 03/04/2019 22:15

Aislin- if it’s the bun type you want, have a go at the recipe I posted. Honestly, they are the best thing ever.

myrtleWilson · 03/04/2019 22:17

Do you happen to live in the NE of England OP.... if so I can definitely recommend a bakery!

BloominSloe · 03/04/2019 22:20

Asda do amazing Cinnabuns! A 2 pack for £1 as well!

MsSquiz · 03/04/2019 22:21

@myrtleWilson I live in the North East, where is it you recommend?

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 03/04/2019 22:22

Pret.

TwitterQueen1 · 03/04/2019 22:28

We use Pioneer Woman's cinnamon roll recipe

Absolutely delicious! make and freeze - but we aware a US quart is smaller than a UK one.

Shortandsweet96 · 03/04/2019 22:29

I shit you not, Lidl.

Oh my God cinnamon roll heaven!

Tolleshunt · 03/04/2019 22:33

Excited, have you tried their hot cross buns? Amazing. Their Christmas buns are even better. And as for their carrot cake, I can't stop eating it. Even their cheese straws are wonderful.

myrtleWilson · 03/04/2019 22:37

@MsSquiz this one! northern-rye.co.uk

they are tiny start up but doing a roaring trade - supply to various restaurants in Newcastle.

At the moment they only have one sales day a week - if you go onto the website they open up to orders on a Sunday night (ish) and you collect on Friday. They've just moved into larger premises so may be able to extend sales opportunities soon. But their goods are delicious!

ChocomelandRinglings · 04/04/2019 08:10

Lidl definitely make the best! And I know a good cinnamon anything when I taste one Wink

BertrandRussell · 04/04/2019 08:36

Oh well... if you’re all going to ignore my recipe....

While you’re in Lidl, get some rhubarb and custard hot cross buns as well.

Obviouspretzel · 04/04/2019 10:15

Another vote for IKEA. They sell them fresh and warm at the exit and it's something stupid like 1 or 2 pound for 4.

LynetteScavo · 04/04/2019 18:26

Ive sent DH to get one from Skandi Kitchen. He's messaged me to say he's got me banana bread. Confused

AislingBeaFan · 04/04/2019 18:33

Divorce is too good for him Lynette .

Can report that I thoroughly enjoyed Lidl's cinnamon bun this morning- I'd say 8/10.

I've just been to Lidl and they were sold out of cinnamon rolls. I blame this thread.

wizzywig · 04/04/2019 19:50

Go to sweden or the swedish coffee shops. And tell them wizzy sent you

Wallabyone · 04/04/2019 19:52

This thread has made me REALLY want cinnamon buns 😭 The Pioneer Woman recipe looks amazing-I'm going to give them a go soon Smile

NowIKnowHowJoanFelt · 04/04/2019 19:55

I make the best cinnamon buns Grin But I have to really love you because they are very labour intensive. Totes yummy though.

LynetteScavo · 04/04/2019 20:27

DH is with a cinnamon roll from SkaniKitchen (I think he went back!)

It's very sweet, and and doesn't have much cinnamon. The texture is good, though.
