Anyone got. Bbc4 on? He was so hot id have done anything to be Amanda de Cadenet. Well, who’d have thought Simon has ended up being the most fanciable. I hated The Reflex btw.

I really respect him for having a long-lasting marriage to an accomplished woman slightly older than himself, rather than doing the usual ageing rock-star thing and getting it on with a succession of starlets half his age.

Must say I'd never have predicted that when he was young. But then again, given his youth, fame and the fact that women were throwing themselves at him everywhere, he was pretty OK back then too, all things considered.

Nooo- John Taylor is still gorgeous. Wow, blast from the past. I had an enormous poster of him in my bedroom as a teenager. I cried my eyes out when I heard he got married to Amanda de Cadanet!! ( I clearly felt as a 13 yo schoolgirl that I would be a far more suitable match!!!). That teenage obsession phase is scary really, isn’t it??

Actually saw Duran Duran a couple of years ago and I agree, Simon le Bon is a stunning man.

He had already been there, done that...
He was 30 when he married Amanda de Cadenet - she was 19.
She was 6 months pregnant at the time. The marriage lasted 6 years.
Ironically De Cadenet was 34 when she married Strokes guitarist, Nick Valensi , 25 - she was 6 months pregnant at the time.
He was 20 when they met. She was 29.

My mistake, lasted 3 1/2 years. They made the divorce final after six.

I was always a Simon Le Bon fan myself, I remember badgering my Dad hysterically for weeks when they were doing a Duran Duran special on The Tube and our aerial didn't pick up Channel 4..... poor Dad had to climb onto the roof and sort another aerial out to get some peace.

Happy days. I still listen to them all the time, old stuff and new. Ordinary World is probably one of my all time favourite songs. I still don't get what The Reflex was all about... it was an abomination!!

Rick Astley has aged well. I thought he was bit dorky in the 80s but he's improved with age.

There are worse disappointments. On no account google Judd Nelson (Breakfast Club) or Nuno Bettencourt (he of long haired, guitar playing, 'More than Words' singing, soulful eyed Extreme fame).

19 is pretty young to get married but he was also relatively young and still hot then, so I don't think it's so bad. It's not like the likes of Jagger making babies with assorted women across the world.

I saw JT in person close up recently and I think he looks pretty damn fine. He's in good shape, good hair, well dressed, looks in a good place mentally. For 57 or whatever he is...jeez it could be so much worse!

I think Duran Duran look much as you would expect them to for men in their late fifties/early sixties.

I’ve not got the TV on but I’m pretty sure that the last thing I saw him in, which was only a few months ago, he was looking pretty good for his age and I remember thinking ‘that’s what good bone structure does for you’. So unless something’s gone very wrong in the last few months...?

I agree that Martin Kemp looks bloody amazing.

I used to have a Saturday job and Nick Heywood used to come in, this was at the height of his fame. He was a really lovely bloke, on the gawky/geeky side. Should have been big headed but just a happy chappy. He has not changed in that respect. I have seen him on a few things in recent years and just as chipper. Bulked up a bit though!
