We had a cheater’s roast. ( frozen and prepared veg)

And ice cream that I’d made this morning out of sheer boredom

Baked chicken, with Nandos marinade and veggie rice for the family. I had melted bagel with tuna,cheese and sweet chilli sauce.

Some posh fishcakes from lidl (haddock with a sort of cheese sauce filling, very tasty!) avocado salad and spicy wedges.

To braised steak.. so it's not chewy. Buy a nice bit of steak (rump) and slow cook it until it breaks when you pierce with a fork.

Roast chicken, cauliflower cheese, cabbage with bacon and onions, roast potatoes, roast parsnips and gravy. Apple pie and cream. Was delicious.

Home made leek and potato soup, then pork, figs, onion and apricots cooked in yogurt, with ground almond, sumac, lavender, cumin, saffron and chilli. Served with brown rice and broccoli.

Chicken fajitas, with peppers, onions and mushrooms. I marinate chicken strips in lime juice, garlic and Schwartz fajita seasoning, then fry with the veg and have in wraps with cheese, salsa and guacamole. Really quick and easy.

Nothing, I’m poorly!
Everyone else in the family sat down to a delicious smelling roast chicken though. We have a roast of some kind most Sundays during the winter.
