I used to babysit for a toddler who wanted nothing to watch apart from Oliver ConfusedGrin on repeat

So random
Yet as a tiny 70s girl I was obsessed with Z Cars even though I didn't understand it at all!

My family took me to the cinema to see Jaws when it was released. I was 5! They took me to see King King the following year.

I ended up watching this movie at 4am when I couldn't sleep, thanks to this thread (and your 3yo)

When DC2 was around that age, she used to love House. I would always watch it upstairs on the laptop and she usually wandered in and got into bed with me. She always used to say Dr House was her Daddy.*

*legal disclaimer... he's not!

As a child we had a couple of episodes of George and Mildred on VHS for some reason, and I watched them over and over. Also 'No Sex, Please, We're British' (starring Ronnie Corbett I think) which I insisted on having as a film for one of my birthday parties, presumably to the utter mystification of the other children.

My small children like a promo video for a hotel we once stayed in. It's ten minutes long and they watch it on repeat.

When he was 3 all DS wanted to watch was Dyson test facility videos on you tube Confused

He also quite like a video featuring a pond hoover, it was strangely mesmerising to watch Blush

Urgh2019 · 17/03/2019 10:27

When I was 6 I used to watch Some Like it Hot over and over and over.

SillyBillyBandy · 17/03/2019 11:29

DNeice love the beegees. But only a particular concert they did she found in vh1. Watched it for hours.

I loved Porridge with Ronnie Barker. No idea why. Didn't understand any of the jokes.

My grandad lived with us when I was little and I spent a lot of time sitting on his knee watching Are You Being Served, Allo Allo and Dads Army. Used to love the snooker as well.

My 8 year old isn’t keen on TV except fro Dickinson’s real deal.

twosoups1972 · 17/03/2019 12:19

Isn't that film like SO sad???

God it really is. One of my favourite films though, so brilliantly acted.

That beautiful dialogue-free scene of the dad and Billy making breakfast together having settled into a routine after getting it wrong. They look so happy and comfortable together.

Dd aged 3 would watch ‘rella’ the original animated Cinderella film. In her Cinderella outfit. Which was the only item of clothing she would wear during the day. For 3 months.

Fayelly · 17/03/2019 12:30

It is a beautiful film. Can never quite decide if the judge made the right decision but on reflection the dad should have got him! Glad she gives him back in the end
