I have three:

A book: ‘The Burning’ by Laura Bates - if you have teens, particularly girls but definitely boys too you should read it (and so should they - my teen dd thought it was amazing, we don’t often agree on books!) ❤️

Babylis big hair - I bought it because it was highly recommended on here years ago. I have a new found love for it since I have a fringe Smile

Audible books - have vastly improved my commute to work

Share what you love, however small (or big)!

I just knew that kimono was going to be Verry Kerry
I bought one for me and one for my daughter in law at Christmas
I drool over them in a regular basis
Absolutely gorgeous

lottielady · 09/03/2019 08:59

Nanasue I’m spending quite a lot of time wondering if I need a second for when this one is in the wash...

EssentialHummus · 09/03/2019 09:01

@paisha sorry to tag you but where do you buy those crisps?

For me it’s Hotel Chocolat giant choc buttons, put in the freezer overnight and eaten from frozen.

Chilli and Lemon Grills from the world food aisle. Nom.

All of Netflix. I think I’m late to the party on true crime documentaries (The Staircase, Making a Murderer, Abducted in plain sight) but they are so compelling.

A thermal water bottle. It's so lovely having really cold water at my desk.
I put ice cold white wine in it of an evening which saves me getting up and going to the fridge for a top up Grin

Planting things and watching them grow and flower. I always thought gardening was for other people, but after a tough winter for various reasons I am finding unexpected joy in nurturing every little green shoot and tender bud. Off to the garden centre this weekend!

Don't call me up by Mabel. She's neneh cherry's daughter. Great song.

Teissere syrups to make water intake easier and more palatable

paisho · 09/03/2019 13:48

Tag away, @EssentialHummus! Unfortunately I'm not in the UK at the moment so I can't be certain if they stock it, but I used to get all my Japanese crisps from Westfield London, Shepherd's Bush. This particular one is Koikeya's Suppamucho Vinegar for future reference!

Mmmhmmokdear · 09/03/2019 13:53

I had another ear piercing last week and I'm in love with them. Can't wait until I can change them!

WarpedGalaxy · 09/03/2019 13:56

My Apple AirPods - can’t believe how amazing they are and that I resisted getting some when DH got his.

My Muse concert tickets for tonight, I keep looking at them in my phone wallet. 14 hours to go!

YesThisIsMe · 09/03/2019 14:00

Charles Dexter Ward podcast was great. ST Discovery has some fantastic twists at the end of series 1 and then a radical (but still good) change in style going into Series 2. Stick with it.

My personal loves would be:
ST Discovery Short Treks episode “Calypso” which is only c. 15 minutes and just lovely.
My new DISCO T-shirt because I love the show and it’s such a great T-shirt.
Great British Sewing Bee which I missed so much while it wasn’t on last year.
Lego Movie 2 which made me laugh and cry watching it with DD and DS who sometimes fight but always have each other’s backs.

EssentialHummus · 09/03/2019 14:15

Thanks paisho! Those sound right up my street.

allfurcoatnoknickers · 09/03/2019 14:25

It's COLD where I live, so the three things I love most right now are:

My shearling line snow boots from Ugg. So, so cozy.

My oversized yak wool jumpers from Muji I've got two and they're snuggly and not itchy at all.

ALL my uniqlo heattech. I might have frozen to death without it.

Oh and my needy Jack Russells who act as excellent personal space heaters.

A Japanese show called Samurai Gourmet.

—Just a very quiet, calm, simple series about a newly retired man enjoying the freedom of time and choice, and the pleasures of food. More levels to it than that, when you get into. Hard to explain, or even to define what it is about it that I like, but I find it very soothing to watch, almost like a form of meditation. Which sounds odd.

Daffodils on the table to bring a bit of sunshine and spring into the house.

The bone-in rib-eye steak currently drying out in the fridge, in preparation for our dinner tonight. We’ve had a week off work and rather than going out we’ve splurged a little on some very nice ingredients to make a few very nice meals at home.

My new pyjamas and dressing gown.

(Btw, I concur, dark chocolate bounty is a very nice chocolate bar.)

Ninkaninus · 09/03/2019 14:38

Grrrr *get into it

It’s a Netflix original show if anyone’s interested.

paisho · 09/03/2019 14:41

Got myself a pair of B&O Beoplay H9i wireless headphones and I'm in love. The ANC is great, sound is pretty good, and the build quality is fantastic. Only gripe I have is that the touch controls could use a little fine-tuning, but not a major issue in the grand scheme of things.

Ooh thenewaveragebear1983 and QuantumWeatherButterfly I've never actually tried bone conducting headphones! Any particular make/model I should be looking out for? Thanks.

PepeLePew · 09/03/2019 15:08

Yes to daffodils everywhere in the house.
Belvoir Ginger Cordial.
My great grandmother’s ring that my mother gave me.
The Heart’s Invisible Furies - highly recommended by everyone on the 50 Books thread. Not sure what took me so long.
Amazon Echo Dot for middle of the night podcasts when I can’t sleep.
Cocoa Runners monthly subscription boxes.
Falafel and salad boxes from the local street food market - every day last week for lunch at work.
Mahabi slippers. Glad I got in there before they went bust.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/03/2019 15:30

Three food ones:

These tortilla chips

Greggs vegan sausage rolls - I've waited 20 years for these!

These coffee and walnut chocolates

Celeriacacaca · 09/03/2019 15:36

So I'm making sausage rolls with chutney in them, have bought salad crunchy topper and am drooling over the velvet robe...this thread is not good for my waist, or purse!!

Celeriacacaca · 09/03/2019 15:37

Oh and I've just eaten two Sainsbury's hot cross buns Confused

MothershipG · 09/03/2019 15:41

My lovely, but impractical mug, especially when filled with almond milk cappuccino made with our new bean to cup coffee machine.
