I have three:

A book: ‘The Burning’ by Laura Bates - if you have teens, particularly girls but definitely boys too you should read it (and so should they - my teen dd thought it was amazing, we don’t often agree on books!) ❤️

Babylis big hair - I bought it because it was highly recommended on here years ago. I have a new found love for it since I have a fringe Smile

Audible books - have vastly improved my commute to work

Share what you love, however small (or big)!

Tanqueray Flor de Seville gin is rather fab. Add some nice tonic and a slice of orange (Duchy organic oranges are the tastiest, I've found). Swap the tonic for cava/prosecco if you don't need to function especially well the next day Grin

Marshmallow and Big Nose. Both ragdolls and just so loveable! Would 100% recommend

Lidl's shampoo that's a copy of Aussie moisture, costs £1, and has left my rather coarse wiry hair all silky and shiny.

My bone conducting headphones.

Some Mediterranean salad crunch toppers that I've been having all week, absolutely delicious.

Lovely thread. And dark chocolate Bounties are one of the best bars of chocolate money can buy.

Lana del Rey's 'Born to Die' on vinyl - I'm obsessed with it

Daffodils - my favourite flower and cheap enough to buy in arm-fulls and fill the house with

Sukin skincare - especially the Rosehip oil

The Nike Training Club app on my phone (free!) it's actually getting me to do some exercise at last and I feel so much better about myself and life in general.

Also I made a batch of apricot pecan rosemary muffins for tomorrow's breakfast using a new recipe - always a crapshoot - but they are delicious! It will be hard not to eat any more than the one I just tried for quality control...

Shambalawadeewadee · 08/03/2019 21:05

Minttobee - that’s lovely. Totally understand if it is top secret but if it isn’t, do post a pic (of the dress, not you in it of course!)

Book:
The secret garden (yes it's old and a kids book but I'm reading it with my daughter and it's really good, everyone should read it.)

My dog. I'm really poorly (still may have to be admitted into hospital) and all.hes done is cuddle up to me and stay by my side.

I'm a very anxious person and dont like to be alone when I'm ill so while DP was at work he gave me such comfort Smile

I highly recommend a furry companion.. but you cant have mine Wink

I really really loved my wonky homemade silver heart necklace - big pendant and rustic but I adored it. Given to my late mum on her birthday after my son was born with his fingerprint in it. When she died I wore it all the time, felt her close to me but then I lost it in centreparcs swimming pool! Devastated. Almost the only material thing I truly loved. I would give anything to replicate it. Wish I had the lovely lady who made it's phone number

Shambalawadeewadee · 08/03/2019 21:10

OMG, your dog is TOO cute!

Secret garden is a fabulous book. One of my other childhood favourites was ‘The Wolves of Willoughby Chase’ by Joan Aiken. I might read it again actually and see if it holds up, although maybe I won’t, in case it doesn’t! I read it so many times as a child Smile

Xiaoxiong, any chance of the recipe for those muffins? They sound delicious!

Daffodils, and my hot water bottle.

Hyacinths....so intricate and the fragrance is beautiful . Love them in my garden centre

Wispas... the texture. Fallen in love with them all over again!

Knackerelli · 08/03/2019 21:14

Currently loving avacados!

Have at the weekend boiled egg and avacado in toast ( not a hipster!) Habe had all week salmon, feta and guacamole salad; love it and will probably have it all next week too.

Epsom bath salts. Have an aching hip from running and am convincing myself these are helping.

EyeDrops · 08/03/2019 21:15

@ShortandSweet96 - I should also have said, I hope you are on the mend soon. I stand by your dog being too cute though!

These vinegar crisps! Think classic thick-cut salt and vinegar but with an extra dose of umami. 😍
