What facial moisturiser do you use at night?

Just curious to know what others use as an overnight facial moisturiser?

I find most of the specific night moisturisers are too heavy and cause breakouts. Also, it seems most daytime moisturisers suitable for my age (40 in a few months) have SPF which also cause me to breakout if I use overnight.

I've got the stage where need to use something. Any suggestions for a lighter night time moisturiser?

I alternate - either LRP Redermic R and then LRP Toleriane or Korres Wild Rose Sleeping Facial.

presentcontinuous · 09/03/2019 16:07

No i use redermic R. I tried the C once for a and skin-wise it was fine but it turned my white pillowcase a bit yellow! In any case I think the R is better suited to my skin and age (46)

swirlette · 09/03/2019 16:08

I use Redermic C in the morning, it's the vitamin C that would have made your pillow yellow!

sushisuperstar · 09/03/2019 17:17

Crap I got the wrong one then. This will do as a night thing for now. I usually use Environ AVST.

LancashireTea · 09/03/2019 17:29

I use E45 after using Aldi's hot cloth cleanser, toner and then their serum. Sometimes I do use Nip and Fabs dragon's blood hyleronic shot as well. My skin is mixed, but can be quite dry.

I look like a ghost for bed.

stegosauruslady · 09/03/2019 17:32

CeraVe without SPF at night. Suits my skin beautifully. I use the SPF one in the morning!

groundcontroltomontydon · 09/03/2019 17:34

Superdrug B range night cream, the pink one in a jar. Smells a bit funky but does the job.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/03/2019 18:04

I usually just use a few drops of oil, but today I bought the Sukin Sensitive pot, because it's in a glass jar. Have been impressed with the stuff I've already been using from the range.

sushisuperstar · 09/03/2019 18:10

@presentcontinuous actually I've stopped it for the one you've got. It's got better reviews and more in line with what I was after till I've got a bit more cash. Thank you 😊

Bloomburger · 09/03/2019 18:18

Estée Lauder Night Repair Serum then Resilience Lift Night Repair.

You wouldn't know I'm 45 from my skin.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 09/03/2019 18:47

Aveeno Dry and sensible cream, brilliant for my very sensible skin
It's quickly absorbed and cheap too

itsbritneybiatches · 09/03/2019 18:54

I use Nivea the plain blue one or creme de La met or lacuna. Depends if I'm in the gym or at home.

Realitea · 09/03/2019 19:11

I use the body shop bouncy sleep mask. I love it! It somehow also stops me getting spots but I don’t know how as i really pile it on. In the morning I then put on a bit of vitamin E cream from body shop. I just love the smell of it!

HaventGotAllDay · 09/03/2019 20:04

Can I hijack slightly and ask @Bloomburger if the ANR really works? I know it's been a much lauded product for years but I've never tried it.

Realitea- Body Shop Vitamin E sends me back to 1987. Love the smell too, I sometimes buy a pot for nostalgia purposes!

cloud1183 · 09/03/2019 20:09

Murad in the blue range which is for acne prone skin and is non comedegenic. The day cream has spf15 and the night cream contains retinol. Both are very light but will make your skin look so good. It is very expensive but worth it

Bloomburger · 10/03/2019 07:38

@HaventGotAllDay I really do think it does. I've tried all of them and always go back to this. I've a patch of excema prone skin on my face from a scar and whilst using it that clears up and I just look fresher.

Margot33 · 10/03/2019 07:40

Love my aveeno. My skin breaks out with anything else.

HaventGotAllDay · 10/03/2019 09:15

Thank you! I'm going to treat myself. Smile

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 10/03/2019 09:29

I've slowly weened myself off pricey skin care (nut seeing results for the £). At night I do Inkey List Retinol every other night followed by whatever random moisturiser I've got on top, more because I like how my skin feels than anything else. At the mo it's Nivea Soft then I'll move onto all the random creams I've been hoarding the last few years from advent boxes etc.

Those of you using retinol at night am I ok to start using it every night? I use a Vit C serum and SPF 50 every morning.

Beaverhausen · 11/03/2019 08:19

@cloud1183 I use Murad too the purple pot Ultra hydrating and the eye cream loved it in the beginning until I got onto Avant. So smooth, covers your eyes too, hydrating and smells define.

sleepalldays · 11/03/2019 09:25

Manuka doctor api clear. I use it during the day too. £16.99 and is incredible.
