What would you think If you saw someone walking a duck

We are thinking of getting ducks ... my friend said she had ducks and walked them on leads !
My husband says " no way we are not walking ducks "
Do they need walking ?
What would you think if you saw someone walking a duck on a lead ?
Would you walk a duck if you had one ?

I've had ducks. They'd follow me but no need to actually walk them. They also spent a lot of time with the family dog. He ended up thinking he was half duck. I've also had chickens who enjoyed going for a ride on top of the pony.

Ducks are great though. Really entertaining and big personalities! They can be messy, but they're also really good at controlling garden pests.

What is it with the duck threads at the minute???

I'd think, 'there goes that duck-botherer I keep reading about on MN, nice to put a face to the fetish', and walk quickly past.

I would think 'where can I get a duck from?' Followed by 'can I pet the duck?' 🤔

You don't need to put them on leads, if you want to take them for a walk then they will follow you (just tap something or click your fingers - and give them food - they'll soon respond to the noise)
I've 'walked' geese, lambs and cats (as in taken them from one place to another on a farm without having to physically carry them there - none of them on leads, they just follow you - obviously I didn't take them out on the road - but why would they want to go there anyway. ).

Hopefully if you keep ducks you'll give them plenty of space to flap walk about and swim and they won't need walking.
