Horrible weather! What is everyone doing?

Awful day. I don't mind rain but there's strong winds predicted, and if we attempt to brave the elements the toddler will probably be blown off his little feet.

What is everyone up to?

Took DC to soft play but they fell asleep in the car before I got there, so detour to grandparents for lunch and general spoiling before they go on a month long trip tomorrow.

Drove back to soft play afterwards, where we are now...in the carpark...as DC has gone back to sleep so I'm on MN!

Church this morning, home as it started to rain. Roast dinner and syrup sponge followed by Midsummer Murders, cosy on sofa with a nice blanket, dd3 (murder mystery fan!) and some nice candles lit.

DS, DD and I are having a PJ day. It's very rare for us, but we're all stuffed up with vile coughs/colds and just snacking as and when. We had a good meal yesterday, and decent dinner planned for tomorrow, so one day isn't going to be a problem.

Luckily, the house is pretty decent, plenty of grub in, and I'm mainlining tea for my sore throat.

Been for a 4 mile walk this morning with DD. Then she did math homework and I made banana bread, lemon and orange curd and then homemade pizza for tea. Now collapsing in a heap.

DC had a friend sleeping over last night so this morning they watched Netflix and played Lego and Minecraft while DH and I did chores and I went to the supermarket.

After lunch it dried up a bit so we stomped round the park for a bit to get some air.

This afternoon DC have done their homework / music practice, helped me bake some cookies, and had baths - now they're watching YouTube while DH makes sausage and mash.

So not a bad day considering the horrid weather :)

Dusted and vacuumed bedrooms this morning and cleaned bathrooms and cloakroom. Sorted out some clothes for the charity shop, chucked out some very out of date make up and nail varnish, vacuumed downstairs and washed the floors.

Soak in the bath and now I’m knitting, watching TV and messing about with the iPad. DH is cooking some Chinese type thing for dinner.
