I’ve just read the answer and am gobsmacked - he’s just become a dad, too.

Spoiler alert

He is 69 years old!

  1. Yay, I was very close
Tenpole · 02/03/2019 18:58

I would have guessed he would be about 60 by now. I find him terrifying. Those tiny little angry eyes.

TwinkleTits70 · 02/03/2019 21:31

I was going to say 70- odd.

dudsville · 02/03/2019 21:33

I was going to say mid 70's. That child will hardly know his father.

emilybrontescorsett · 02/03/2019 21:37

If have guessed at least 65.
He is far too old to be a father, when will the truth about male fertility be made public knowledge the same way that female fertility is.
Humans are not designed to be reproducing at 69.
I hope the baby is ok but seriously the chances of it having a disability or becoming ill are very high.
It's only because we live in a patriarchal world that the truth is hidden.

LittleDoritt · 02/03/2019 21:39

I guessed 70 before I opened the thread. I did NOT guess he had just become a dad 😳

youarenotkiddingme · 02/03/2019 21:39

71?

Crunchymum · 02/03/2019 21:40

Would have said 67!!!

youarenotkiddingme · 02/03/2019 21:40

Btw I write what I thought before I opened thread. Quite surprised how close I am - I'm usually crap at these things!

YouBumder · 02/03/2019 21:41

I’d have said 70

topcat2014 · 02/03/2019 21:42

Apparently the perfectly normal age to be Helen McCrory's husband who is 50 and who I may fancy a little

topcat2014 · 02/03/2019 21:43

On TV that is = "Mother, Father, Son BBC"

TroysMammy · 02/03/2019 21:44

I was going to say 69.

Savoury99 · 03/03/2019 11:21

No not in Officer and a Gentleman. He was fucking fit in that! 😍

Yanks too.

Savoury99 · 03/03/2019 11:26

At least he's not been a teat and had loads of surgery. There are going to be a lot of scary looking 70 year olds in the future.

Savoury99 · 03/03/2019 11:27

Twat not teat

Hushnownobodycares · 03/03/2019 11:31

I was going to say 65.

That man was haaaawt back in the day Grin

WrongKindOfFace · 03/03/2019 11:34

I guessed 60 something.

I’m not sure it’s a good idea to become a parent at 69.

RockyFlintstone · 03/03/2019 11:36

I was going to guess 69 (really!)

What age did you think he was? Younger or older? Confused

elQuintoConyo · 03/03/2019 11:36

Savoury99 so many people look at me like this Hmm when I describe this film, like it was a dream I had and should keep it to myself Grin

I'd have guessed 70/72.

elQuintoConyo · 03/03/2019 11:36
  • Yanks, the film.
Savoury99 · 03/03/2019 15:07

elQuintoConyo

That made me laugh, he was so gorgeous in that film.

I think he has a nice kind face now he is older.

Charlie Chaplin was 73 and Rod Stewart was 67 (I think) when they became Father's to their youngest. I didn't realise there was a risk from a Father being older

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 03/03/2019 16:38

73

kingfisherblue33 · 03/03/2019 16:39
  1. Bloody ridiculous and selfish to become a father at that age. Poor kid. Money won't help if he dies in 5 years or has to go into a care home.
emilybrontescorsett · 03/03/2019 17:06

Yep sperm from "old" men is not good.
Medically it is far better to have children young.
And yes I know that's not always possible etc etc. But 69 is taking the piss.
It is only our western morality which insists that it's ok for old men to father children.
