Angel of Harlem
All I Want Is You

I finish my run to Beautiful Day

IRun4Me · 02/03/2019 08:45

Some good choices such as All I want is you and Unforgettable Fire.
But it has to be Drowning Man from the War album.

Figgygal · 02/03/2019 08:47

Also love all I want us you and with or without you

Stupomax · 02/03/2019 13:58

This is such a great thread. I spent all evening happily listening to U2 songs I hadn't listened to in years. I'd forgotten how amazing they are.

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 14:01

I like most if these as well as October and Gloria

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 14:03

And bad. So much better than the Michael Jackson version ;)

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 14:08

And trip through your wires.
I think I need a u2 fest tonight

AnnabelleLecter · 02/03/2019 14:13

Vertigo for me

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 14:17

Red Hill mining town
Bullet the blue sky
One hundred... Two hundred

ssd · 02/03/2019 15:51

God I'd forgotten how great U2 are

MillytantForceit · 02/03/2019 16:43

"All went wrong with The Joshua Tree and Bono became a twat."

Absolutely. His hat lives in Holland for tax purposes.

  • Well stop fucking clapping, then!

Have spent the afternoon listening to U2 (Alexa's mixed the tunes Smile) whilst I decorated DS's room.

Songs I hadn't listened to in so long: Red Hill Mining town,
Stuck in a moment (didn't Bono write that about Michael Hutchence?)
Sometimes you can't make it on your own.
Who's going to ride your wild horses?

Stunning music.

Tenpole · 02/03/2019 19:07

It's only me who likes Elevation then?

0ellenbrody0 · 02/03/2019 19:13

The Unforgettable Fire makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, it’s just so so beautiful.
I also love Bad. LOVED them in the day, up to The Joshua Tree but less so after.

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 19:19

Yes completely agree. Basically when he started wearing sunglasses.
Although was wid horsea and the fly after that? They're quite good.

borntobequiet · 02/03/2019 19:20

I’m not a U2 fan.
But Miss Sarajevo is really good.

Sarahlou63 · 02/03/2019 19:23

The Fly
Mysterious Ways
Numb
The Troubles

Macaroonmayhem · 02/03/2019 19:23

Stealh I love trip through your wires, it’s such a joyful song. And Red Hill Mining Town is great too.

So many great songs and I have so many on my cycling playlists. I always put Vertigo on if I’ve got a long downhill trail ahead when I’m mountain biking.

All I want is you
A sort of Homecoming
Running to Stand Still
Elevation
Walk on
I love the end of Stay (faraway, so close) when it just...stops.
Until the End of the world

There are so many good ones.

Insomnibrat · 02/03/2019 19:27

A customer of mine went to U2's last tour and said he was really disappointed Bono seemed to use his platform to push his political agenda and had a rant about Brexit. He said a lot of the gig seemed geared towards it.

Said it completely ruined the concert/music.

Regardless of which side of the fence you graze, I can see how it would, tbh.

Paris14eme · 02/03/2019 19:29

The Unforgettable Fire, One and Electrical Storm. Also love When All I Want is You and Magnificent....

PajamasnoDramas · 02/03/2019 19:55

In God’s country (will always be my total fave, on my own with this one)
Mysterious ways
Seconds

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 20:09

No as I was writing a precious post, in God's country came on and I remembered how brilliant it was.

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 20:09

I'm on my own with October so far I think :)

StealthPolarBear · 02/03/2019 20:10

And I really like their cover of helter skelter
