I find I'm naturally very drawn to listening intently when Liam Neeson speaks.

Any others?

Oh, and Whoopi Goldberg.

Richard Burton's voice was always wonderful to listen to. These days Helen Mirren - and the Welsh rugby commentator on the BBC - don't know his name but just fabulous!

Michael Sheen.

He narrated the audiobook I’ve just finished and I wish he could narrate all the audiobooks ever!

JaneJeffer · 27/02/2019 21:44

Stephanie Beacham has a great voice too.

Flightywoman · 27/02/2019 21:49

Anton Lesser is WONDERFUL! He's so good, I seek out things read or narrated by him.

Katastrophy · 27/02/2019 21:51

Colin Salmon

Robert and Philip Glenister

Further votes for Alan Rickman, Anthony Hopkins and Ralph Fiennes!

OP It's not David Starkey is it? Grin

Roger Allam
Hattie Morahan
Hugh Bonnaville

MidwifeyForLifey · 27/02/2019 22:05

nova Oh wow. You're actually right. Jane said someone and I looked at a video... he seemed almost right but quite a bit younger, yet with a certain similarity.

It is definitely David Starkey. 100%

MeetMeInMontauk · 01/03/2019 06:47

The dulcet tones of Jennifer Garner always get my vote.

Lllot5 · 01/03/2019 12:07

Penelope Keith is my favourite and Micheal Johnston the 400m runner

IndigoSpritz · 01/03/2019 12:22

It's possible that many of the actors mentioned were RADA or RSC students and therefore may speak with a slightly affected lilt, rather than their natural tones.

JaneJeffer · 01/03/2019 12:39

John Barnes

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 01/03/2019 13:01

I can't believe I forgot Chiwetel Ejiofor, amazing voice and easy on the eye too.

FreezerBird · 02/03/2019 15:16

...and Micheal Johnston the 400m runner

Yes! How could I forget him? I often wish he could come and live in my house and just be a calming influence on the family.
