What's the age gap between you and your other half?

Just wondering what age gaps there are on here for curiosity! There's 9 years between me and my DH and I always wonder if that is considered to be in the 'normal' or 'big' age gap bracket. (Not that there is such a thing but for arguments sake). What are the age gaps between you and your OH?

I’m 3 months and 3 days younger :)

He’s two weeks older than me. We were due to be born on the same day but he was two days early and I was twelve days late.

6.5 years.

10 years (I'm 36 he's 26)

8 years. He's the older one. Got together when I was 20. 26 years later, we're still going strong.

I’m 15 days younger.

I'm 7 months older.

3 months.

Seven years. I’m younger.

18 months (I'm older) - I went out with someone 16 years older before him and would never do so again. I love that we share cultural history and can have a good moan about the older/younger generations who obviously lack our superior insights and experience of the world. Love him reminding me I'm the oldest slightly less

I’m 20 months older- he never lets me forget it.
“Did you have Chinese Takeaways when you were a child?” etc.

DH is 9 years older.

8 years. He’s older. I know I’ll probably be widowed.

11 years , I'm 51 DH is 40 . You would never know . I look very young for 51 and he looks very old for 40 . Been together over 20 years ...it's perfect

22 years here... almost certain I’ll be widowed

He's 15 years younger.

The only tricky bit was telling him.
DC similar ages, so he had assumed that meant we were similar ages too.

13 years. He's older. I can honestly say that the age gap has never been a problem.

I'm 9 days older than DH. It's his favourite week of the year 🙄

I'm 3 years older than DH. My dad was 20 years older than my mum, but they had a great marriage - mum died before him and he was very lost for those last years of his life.

Something under 2 years, I'm older. Sometimes it seems a lot but I think we just had different cultural pointers growing up.

He is older by 16 years.

My DH is 7 years older than me

I'm 4 years older.

DH is 4 years older.

And yes the only downside is I will probably see him die and spend my last years alone... I do get emotional thinking that we wint get to do all the old peoples stuff together. Theres an old retired couple in the house next to us and they are always out gardening together in the garden and it makes me cry sometimes.....
We have two children, 4yo and 7months. Eldest born when my husband was 45 and so he will be retired when the children are still at home I'd imagine!

But we always say when you think about how long humans have been on this earth we were very lucky to be alive at the same time at all so what is 16 years difference!!
