What are you up to today?

It’s raining here and has been for hours. DD and I are lounging in bed having screen time.

I’ve got some work to do to get a head start on the stuff I have to get through tomorrow. Also got to do some meal planning and a quick supermarket run.

Other than that a bit of ironing and tidying and then playing with DD.

What’s happening at your house today?

I'm up drinking tea, DH is still snoring. The DCs are away this weekend, we pick them up tonight so it's very quiet here. I've fed cats and need to head out to feed hens in a minute. Its a chilly blustery day here so I'll keep them confined to the veg patch and their run today I think.

I'll go put the roast on soon and get a mountain of laundry done. Need to have a shower and get some work done. DH will be finishing stripping the caravan and doing some tip runs/lighting a bonfire later.

I've soaked fruit last night so there's a tea loaf to make which we will have for tea later when kids are home in front of the fire, before showers and bed for them. Vera's on tonight which DH & I love. I love Sundays.

Still not dressed yet as actually have a Sunday off work!

Going out for a carvery at some point. Somewhere. It's a choice of two places,will decide in the next hour.

Then home and a lazy do nothing kind of afternoon/evening.

DH is at work. We had a cooked breakfast without him and played board games for a chunk of the morning. DC now watching Lego Movie and I'm eating an egg and salad cream sandwich with still warm eggs.

Later DS1 is going to a friend's house so DD and DS2 and I will go to the park and come home for hot chocolate, and maybe do some batch cooking and make a cake for DD birthday this week.

After they have gone to bed I really need to do some work to try and get a head start on the week but I suspect I will be just watching Netflix and then regretting that tomorrow!

I had a coffee and croissant for breakfast, have potatoes peeled and veg prepped will do a roast later. DH working will be home soon, heading to pub for an our, then fire & tv I love a Sunday too.

Angel169 what about using the mince for moussaka, or Bobotie which is a South African dish a bit similar to moussaka but a bit spicy?
