It’s raining here and has been for hours. DD and I are lounging in bed having screen time.

I’ve got some work to do to get a head start on the stuff I have to get through tomorrow. Also got to do some meal planning and a quick supermarket run.

Other than that a bit of ironing and tidying and then playing with DD.

What’s happening at your house today?

Weather horrible in Perth, going out to lunch with son and fambly 😁

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 27/01/2019 08:56

I woke early so have been enjoying a lie-in reading the papers/MN on-line.
Will have breakfast in bed once dh gets his arse into gear, and then we are driving down to the New Forest with ds to see my dad for lunch. Dd is at uni and has a dissertation to write.
We'll visit my sister and family for a cuppa later and then home for a film, I think.

LeonoraFlorence · 27/01/2019 08:57

Luckily it’s sunny here, Asda. Windy but dry.

PurplePepperEater · 27/01/2019 08:57

OMGithurts he’s getting better just very slowly, he has sensory processing disorder though so hospital is a struggle for him, lots of bright lights, new noises and all the prodding and poking, wires and oxygen masks has his anxiety through the roof so we can’t wait to get home - we were in intensive care and are now on a ward though so we’re definitely going the right way, now if he could just keep his oxygen levels up by himself for a few hours then we’ll be free 🤞🏼
Thankyou for asking Smile

littlemeitslyn · 27/01/2019 08:59

Savoury stuffed pancakes with cheese sauce 😋😋

notahiker · 27/01/2019 09:04

Watching DS play rugby 🏉

gentlyscented · 27/01/2019 09:05

From 10am I will be child free! Kids are spending the day with grandparents and will be dropped home at 6pm. Dh is going for coffee with his mate, I will pack the washing away and when he gets back it will be a duvet day on the sofa watching films. Hallelujah!

TheFairyCaravan · 27/01/2019 09:07

DH has just brought me tea in bed.

We've got a very poorly Guinea pig. She had to have an eye removed yesterday because she somehow managed to injure it overnight on Thursday/Friday so I shall be watching her closely all day while finishing off a blanket I'm crocheting. We were supposed to be going to MIL's to take her her birthday present but that's been postponed.

We're having a roast chicken for dinner and we'll watch Dsncing on Ice and Call The Midwife.

I hope your baby appears sexnotgender and get well soon to your DS purple

PurplePepperEater · 27/01/2019 09:10

Thankyou TheFairyCaravan get well soon to your poor guinea pig too

Long weekend in the Lakes and off for a 7 mile walk round a couple of waterfalls then pub lunch

kaytee87 · 27/01/2019 09:29

Just about to go for a walk in the woods with toddler ds while DH nips into town for something.
Maybe soft play or swimming this afternoon.

lucysmam · 27/01/2019 09:29

Taking dd1 into town to spend her birthday money, and probably to try Taco Bell for lunch.

Their dad is taking dd2 to McDonald's afaIk, then bringing her back for a bath & watch a film together while we're out.

I forgot to defrost the chicken for the roast tonight so something from the freezer for tea. Unless someone knows how to quickly defrost a whole chicken?

Most of the other weekend stuff is done so this evening I'll quickly sort anything left to do then settle down with a book I think.

kaytee87 · 27/01/2019 09:30

@lucysmam microwave on defrost setting then straight into a hot oven.

lucysmam · 27/01/2019 09:32

@kaytee87 how long for? I don't think I've ever used the defrost setting on my microwave, I don't use it often at all.

kaytee87 · 27/01/2019 09:33

@lucysmam depending on your microwave you might be able to put in the weight of the chicken? Either that or google might know.

lucysmam · 27/01/2019 09:35

Hmmm, I'll have a look how big it is and see. I can always do it tomorrow if not today :)

CherryPavlova · 27/01/2019 09:37

Husband and dog are out running. He brought me tea in bed. The dog has eaten a packet of butter off the side so I’m hoping his sick whilst out.

I think I might clear out the pantry and check dates this morning.
Then our son and his girlfriend are coming across and we’re meeting friends with their daughter and her boyfriend for a pub lunch and dog walk on the Downs.

Get things ready for work this week then Evensong at the little church next door and probably a drink with neighbours before Call the Midwife and a television supper.

YouCantTourniquetTheTaint · 27/01/2019 09:39

Ugh nothing, I've torn an intercostal muscle and I cant move without being in a hell of a lot of pain Sad

ohtheholidays · 27/01/2019 09:42

At the moment me and DD11 are lazing in bed watching Back in time for school.

I'm going to have a cooked breakfast in a minute thanks to my lovely DH.
Me and DH will get the housework done and stick the joint in the slow cooker afterwards and then later on were going swimming for a couple of hours and we might have lunch out.

On the way home I need to grab a couple of bits from the shops.

Later we'll have dinner and pudding and then it's time to get uniforms and clothes out ready for tomorrow morning, baths and watching Call the midwife with the DC and DH and then bedtime for the littlest.

DS22 is still asleep and may be for the best part of the day unless we can drag him swimming with us,DS20 is helping make the breakfast(I think)DS17 is still asleep and DD15 is staying over with a friend.

ohtheholidays · 27/01/2019 09:46

Ouch YouCantTourniquetTheTaint you must be in agony.I hope you start feeling better soon Flowers Wine Cake

Justonedayatatime11 · 27/01/2019 09:54

I'm meant to be sleeping after staying up all night to watch the cat, who lost part of her tail yesterday and is a bit too interested in her stitches. She's finally gone to sleep next to me on the bed, DH is downstairs with DD looking after the rest of the menagerie and I'm getting annoyed at not being able to fall asleep!
Meant to be going to my Mums this afternoon for a roast but on top of the poor cat DD has a double ear infection and a chest infection. I think I'll just hide under the duvet for a week!

Nononononono33 · 27/01/2019 10:03

Currently watching the Australian Open men’s final under the blanket on the sofa. I feel a bit under the weather, so it’s my excuse to lounge around and watch the match. I did do a long run yesterday though so I don’t feel too bad about being lazy. DH has gone to the gym and to do the food shopping. I have a little bit of work and laundry to do later, then haggis for dinner which I’m very much looking forward to. Angie169 - how about some homemade meatballs with your beef mince?

Angie169 · 27/01/2019 10:19

ewenice · 27/01/2019 10:37

I was up until 4am this morning delivering a very difficult lamb, eventually had to call in the vet. Then feeds at 8am. Now on the settee drinking tea trying to gather up the energy to go out and check the sheep, tidy up the crap from last night and get organised.

A nice long nap this afternoon in front the TV.
