@kentparent You picked an equally challenging dog breed haha both breeds very stubborn when they want to be, very strong willed, not everyone can handle them. That's why many end up in shelters .... you got on fine with a gsd you'll do fine with an akita if/when the day comes you want another dog.
you're obviously a strong enough person to train and care for such a dominant breed.... I on the other had will not get a husky again.... whole different ball game I love my princess and id never give her up but dam she is such hard work, mum to my akita x gsd was a thorough Japanese akita very very strong willed but at the same time a delight she was really hard work this new addition of something else
