Yy to Charlotte’s Web. Reading it as an adult you see it is entirely about death and loss Sad.

I don’t really cry at books although I am a big cryer in life. But I couldn’t read the Railway Children to the DCs ....couldn’t get through that scene.

I didn’t cry but Jude the Obscure me shook me to the core. I had to go back and read the chapter again because I couldn’t believe I had understood it correctly. Surely Hardy couldn’t make that happen ?
