Weighted blankets

Has anyone bought a weighted blanket and if so do you think they're worth the money?
I'm really struggling with sleeping at the minute due to various health conditions and general stress and was wondering if they are worth the £150-£200

Oh that brings another Q. About cleaning them? Tia, as going out now.

The one we bought comes with a cover, like a duvet cover, so you just wash the cover. Because the blanket is so heavy the cover has lots of ties inside and you have to tie the blanket into it at intervals - otherwise the weight would drag it down to one side. It’s a bit of a pain so I only wash it once a fortnight.

I would suggest weighted blanket UK as it worked for my son. Weighted blanket weight needs to be around 8-10 percent of child weight.

You should wash weighted blankets on cool wash only (under 30) and ideally hang dry them outside on a suitable day weather wise. If yours does come with a removable cover than I suggest when re fitting the cover you turn the cover inside out and lie it on top of the weighted blanket - tie the top ties and middle ties then turn it outside in - very easy way to refit blanket in cover.Smile - hope this helps

I’ve been thinking about getting one for my DC, so good to see this thread.
