I know it's one of those generic questions, I'm not expecting loads of replies, but it's nice to see a wider range of opinions! It fascinates me how different we all are!

I want to visit Tanzania and go to the Serengeti.

I want to go to India purely to experience Holi festival.

What about you?

One of my favourite places I have been to is Iceland, been twice and it is just stunning. It has an almost primal/prehistoric feel to it in Winter and is totally transformed in Summer.

I love travelling and really want to go to:-

South Africa-fly into Jo'burg and then travel down to Cape Town. Visit the Kruger National Park and see the big 5.

Japan- I would love to go to Kyoto and see the cherry blossom and meet a geisha. The architecture and culture fascinates me.

India- I would love to see the Taj Mahal, the living tree root bridges and sail down the Ganjes.

America- I would love to go coast to coast on the train and then road trip back taking in different sights.

Canada- I would like to take my OH on the Rocky Mountaineer.

Oh, so many.

Iceland, for the volcanoes and glaciers

India, because my Grandfather died there and it is therefore part of my family history, my Dad grew up without a father etc.

South America, especially Machu Picchu.

Morocco. Only, to be fair, what I really want to do is just wander round the markets for about a week. (and maybe sleep out under the stars in the desert0

Canada to see Killer Whales.

I wouldn't mind floating over the temples in a hot air balloon in Myanmar.

"Glasgow - because my df grew up there" where do you live now? I'm a weegie and would definitely recommend a visit. So much to see and do, come in the summer.

"I love America so would go back endlessly. Have been to California (most of it)" I'd love to know more. I fancy visiting San Francisco and surrounding areas mainly as a fan girl thing (charmed, Sue grafton & a few films) but also because I'm an old hippy type and would love to go where it all kinda started.

Moscow - fascinated by the Cold War & communism to the point I wonder if I was a bolshy in a past life. Have heard its stunning too.

Mauritius - have heard amazing things and at one point had a friend from there, she was lovely sadly lost touch.

New Zealand - again fascinated have even seriously considered emigrating there. Have friends and family over there and they love it.

Ireland - I'm of Irish descent (both sides of border) yet I've never been - mainly as when I had the time and money to travel the troubles were ongoing and I was an army dependent so it was complicated. Now it's price that's the main thing preventing.
