Dp has just put my new mirror up- with pic

Dp has just spent around an hour doing one bloody thing for me, putting up a mirror.
All he had to do was cover a Christmas mural sticker thing of a deer and he's left it's sodding bits sticking out.

He's wondering why I'm not bowing with gratitude.

Could you strip that middle section of wallpaper and put a new strip on instead op, then rehang the mirror.

Sorry though OP, I think that's not the right mirror for that wall. It needs to be rectangular to fit in with the stripes and fireplace, so his cock-up is a good excuse to go mirror shopping!

My first thought was that the mirror was too high, or too small. After all, I much prefer seeing all of my face at the same time.

I have the same fireplace as you op but I've painted mine white.

My OH did similar. We had a cracked tile in the kitchen. When he hung a magnetic knife rack on the tiles he placed it about half in inch below the point where it would have covered the crack. Gave me the rage every time I looked at it.

Oh dear even with the reindeer it's far to high. Although at the risk of dispensing unsolicited opinions about the mirror in general it is (IMO only) too small and the wrong style and shape for where you are hanging it.

Perhaps part of a plan to replace ghastly mirror with something else?!
