DS came home with jumper on back to front

I found it funny. School jumper was on back to front. Don't know the circumstance but also aware he had PE yesterday.

Posted it on Facebook (I know....) and the amount of "OMG I can't believe the teacher left him like that" "I would be having a word - he might get picked on" "That's not on at all"

Christ almighty.

Would a back to front jumper hinder his learning? No.
Would it stop him from interacting with the other kids? No.
Would he be uncomfortable? No

Knowing my son, if it has been after PE which was at 9.30, he has dressed himself and refused to let the teacher turn it around. To me, it's no biggie and in some ways, if someone does say something to him,. it'll only teach him to dress himself properly and also to listen to the teachers.

It could be that he put it on 5 mins before leaving school and put his coat on straight away afterwards...

Surely in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't bloody matter and is NOT something that should be taken up with the bloody school...

I'm impressed if my 5 year old comes home with his jumper the right way round after PE! He did actually manage it this week but had trousers that were only half way pulled up showing a large proportion of his pants off, undone and untucked polo shirt and polo shirt collar entirely inside jumper. He was amazed when I knew he'd done PE! Could have been a lot worse, looking at the reception WhatsApp group there was some kind of multi way shoe swap that went on and several jumpers missing. I'm surprised anyone would think a wrong way round jumper was concerning!

For a long time my 7yo DS preferred his trousers back to front. And It’s still 50:50 with his pants, tbh.

He's 4? Wow...why those responses? Ridiculous. It can make a child feel like they haven't achieved dressing by themselves (which is a big deal) if staff tell them to change it.

@Woohoo1 That reminds of the time my daughter came out of the swimming pool with her knicker sides sticking out of her swimming costume! She was about 7! We still laugh about it.

DD2's come home today - shoes on wrong feet, socks on with the heel part pointing upwards and around the toes, trousers on back to front. My first words were "PE day?"
