....finishing his wee by grabbing the full toilet roll, dabbing it on the end of his wet willy, then putting the roll back on the holder.

What in Christ's name have I raised?

He seems to think it was ok because "it just dries and disappears" 😣😣😣

He might have watched Mrs Hinch who does a stamp on her loo roll on the faucet and improvised.

Well, it will make a funny story to tell his teenage girlfriend someday.

The best disinfectant for this is sunshine. Tell EVERYONE in the family. Do it in front of him. Show the full range of disgust reactions.

That's how kids learn not to be disgusting.

I'm sure you'll get people saying to coddle this sort of thing and have a gentle talk, but this is what social shaming is MADE for, boys don't get enough of it right now (and it's why so many of them are turning into people who could put their living spaces on reddit.com/r/neckbeardnests).

When someone egregiously violates social taboos about hygiene and cleanliness, the way to bring them "back into the fold" is to make sure they see just how socially unacceptable it is.

JoyceDivision · 12/01/2019 20:54

I used to catch a v young ds once he started seeing standing up turn to the toilet roll holder, lean on it Shock then pull his pants up.

He soon learnt this wasn't a done thing Grin

TheBrilloPad · 12/01/2019 21:08

When DD was 3, she walked out of the toilet, took a tea-towel that was hanging in the kitchen, and wiped her bum (wee) with it and walked away. I was horrified and said "What do you think you're doing?!" And she replied nonchalantly "I always use it. It's softer" and strolled off. Kids are gross.

jessstan2 · 12/01/2019 21:09

That is really funny :-).

I don't know if he would appreciate you sharing it though. Hope you don't tell anyone in real life.

Bless him.

Notso · 12/01/2019 21:14

I caught DS2 then 3 cleaning the toilet with the toilet brush. Great, you might say. Then he proceeded to take my tooth brush and using the handle he cleaned bits of toilet roll and poo off the toilet brush.
I said "no DS that's mummy's toothbrush"
"It's ok Mummy" he said brightly
"I always rinse it off"

April2020mom · 12/01/2019 21:20

Today I saw toilet paper all over the floor. DD had attempted to take some but because she has dwarfism she struggled.

Flaskfan · 12/01/2019 21:26

Dd accidentally dropped her electric toothbrush(3 weeks old) into the toilet and is now stunned we won't buy her a new one.

I say 'accidentally', I mean she was fucking about with her brother as per and probably wondered what would happen if....

secretmetoo · 12/01/2019 21:27

Do men do this then? Wipe their Willys after a wee? My OH doesn’t and so my DS doesn’t. They just shake the drips (I assume)

Northernparent68 · 12/01/2019 21:27

Please do not shame him publicly as per womb’s suggestion, he needs to be told it’s disgusting, but not humiliated. To get enjoyment out of someone’s discomfort is perverted.

ReanimatedSGB · 12/01/2019 21:31

FFS don't tell everyone - fine to discuss it anonymously on here but shaming children is awful parenting. It's straightforward bullying.
Just tell him not to do it again, because it's inconsiderate, rude and unfair on other people. (Though, for all the shrieking, it's basically harmless: fresh urine is sterile anyway and it's not like you're going to eat the loo roll.)

Slightlyjaded · 12/01/2019 21:31

Not long after DD had learned to use the loo rather than the potty, I caught her sitting on the loo and peeing through her knickers that were still up. When i asked her what she was doing she told me that she preferred doing it though her knickers as the loo seat was too cold otherwise.

She then proceeded to lead me to a corner of her underbed storage that had about 15 pairs of sodden pants stuffed under it. So she was peeing though her pants, finding that they were then wet and uncomfortable, discarding the wet pants under her bed and putting fresh ones on.

This was all on the back of me asking her several times where all her knickers had vanished to.

Eatmycheese · 12/01/2019 21:43

@womb that’s just cruel.

OutPinked · 12/01/2019 21:44

At least he isn’t peeing all over the floor like my DS manages to do 🤮

MysweetAudrina · 12/01/2019 21:50

My kids minder caught ds aged 4 at the time peeing in the cats litter tray.

lynnepot · 12/01/2019 21:51

It could have been worse I suppose. He could Wiped it on a towel.

ShannonRockallMalin · 12/01/2019 21:53

My two DSs once simultaneously went for a wee on the sofa as they were ‘putting out a fire’ in their game Shock

Maidsamilking · 12/01/2019 21:53

We caught our DS (5) mopping up his mis-aimed wee with the hand towel.... First time we saw him but he said he cleans it up a lot. 🙄

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2019 21:55

My DS used to do this . It actually took more effort to lift the loo roll off the hanger and replace it than pulling a sheet off the roll.

He's 19yo now and to the best of my knowledge isn't an axe-murderer Wink

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 12/01/2019 21:57

It's ok Mummy" he said brightly
"I always rinse it off"

I am impressed and horrified in equal measure Grin

BumbleBeee69 · 12/01/2019 21:57

OP that's so funny, bless his wee way of thinking lol Flowers

MongerTruffle · 12/01/2019 22:01

Notso Shock Grin
