On a note to horror fans and it’s not perfect at all but made for some non strenuous watching Netflix has a film called ghost stories on currently its only just over an hour and a half long. Features Martin Freeman and Paul Whitehouse. Worth a look just for a couple of things in the film, a great bit of cinematography and the other a OMG moment.

Sorry but thats crap as well.Could have shaved half the time off it and it would have been better

I meant got what they wanted in the context of what they could have in the present day ie a baby, a relationship, a stronger marriage, sobriety. All of them resolved their present issues. That's what the red room was, wish fulfilment.

@ShowOfHands I get it, it’s a good theory and I feel like you could be right. When did they go into that version of the red room though? They all went in to get Luke and had their own “red room” experience until Nell woke them and saved them. Then the dad got the door open but ... (trying not to spoil) they left when did they go back? Or did none of that happen like that?

I don't think they got out of their own red rooms I suppose. I guess them getting out could be Nell's wish fulfilment. She saved them all and it was perfect. Or the Dad's wish to save them all and make up for the previous years was being played out. Or once you've been there, you will always experience the effects. Like the floaty hat man following Luke or Nell in the mortuary. Maybe they aren't in the house but they're still permanently haunted by it.

Eh... I loved this series. Couldn't turn it off......a few weeks form now you will be having nightmares about a lady with a bent neck.... keep with it! 👻

ShowOfHands yeah read a interview and the guy said orignal ending was meant to show the window in the cake scene. Then changed his mind cause he felt they deserved a actual happy ending.

Found the Bent Neck Lady moment so sad. Especially the following episode with the no body could see me moment.

Poor Abigail!

I thought it was great. dh gave up after the first episode which i agree was cliched but that was what made it good. you thought it was just a not particularly scary horror series but then it got clever.

ending was odd though.
