How far away is the nearest police station to you?

Mine is 5.1 miles away.

2.5 miles (I've just googled it)

5 miles but it is only open for a short time in the day on certain weekdays.

There are two 9-5, mon-fri stations within 3 miles of me. The city centre one (also close) is 8-8, 7 days a week. And there’s a 24/7 one at the airport (within 5 miles), but I’m not convinced it has a standard desk.

Closest one that's open to the public is 4.6miles

The closest is 3 miles, but it’s in a different county so they won’t come unless life is at risk and they happen to have someone available.

The closest in-county police station is 17 miles away.

A couple of miles. But it's the one in Alan Partridge Alpha Papa so worth the walk

10 miles but rarely open

Part time police station 1km away and regional police HQ about 0.5km away, as the crow flies!

1.3 miles apparently. There's a thing. I thought it was one a bit further away.

I don't know if the hq is open to the public but it puts on regular events, like Bikewise, every summer and a fantastic firework display.

Like elQC, also live very close to a big hospital (bloody noisy neighbours to have!) and dh is walking round to the fire station, tomorrow, to give blood.

About a 5 min walk away but it's only open part time. The next one is about 6 miles away.

Just under 1 mile.

And plus I live in Northern Ireland so police stations here aren't open to the public.

The nearest is 0.6 km, the next nearest is 1.1 k. I live in London though.

Our house backs onto our constabulary headquarters 😀.

20 minute walk, but only open 3 days per week.

Around 1 mile away in the town centre, open every day. I’ve never been in a police station but DH has to go when he was mugged.

Ours was under half a mile but the front desk closed early last year (I think the station is still manned but you can’t go in)
