How much alcohol do you have in your house right now?

Just curious as I've only realised we've a good selection, we wouldn't normally have this much even at Christmas but had a party recently and also received a few gifts.
So right now we've two bottles of whiskey, one open but not much missing, a bottle of brandy, a litre bottle of vodka, a full bottle of gin and a bottle of gin with not much left and about a third bottle of Sambuca. We also have a fair bit new lager, cider and numerous bottles of red and white wine.
The wine will be well used over the coming weeks, but the rest will probably be there next Christmas, still I must admit it's nice having decent selection to offer guests.

2 beers and half a bottle of aromatised wine. Didn't really bother with booze this Christmas, too tired to drink.

BendydickCuminsnatch · 25/12/2018 19:21

At my parents - they have 3 or so drinks tables full to the brim with spirits, ales etc and 2 full wine racks. Lasts ages though, I just had my first glass of alcohol in months with Xmas dinner.

At home probably a few bottles of wine (gifts/for cooking) in the utility, and a couple of ales in the fridge for DH. We don’t really keep a stock of ales as he’ll buy a couple one day and have them that evening.

Mum2jenny · 25/12/2018 19:23

Too much to mention, but we always have this amount. Never buy alcohol specifically for Christmas or any other celebration.

3 bottles of baileys
2 Prosecco
1 and half bottles of Whiskey
2 Malibu
2 ameretto
1 white wine
1 rosé
1 Buck's Fizz (if you count that?)
1 vodka

bumblebee39 · 25/12/2018 19:25

A can of cider
Didn't need as much for the gammon as I thought I would

I'm pregnant and single. My house is teetotal unless people bring their own or I need it to cook with

RJnomore1 · 25/12/2018 19:25

Gosh

About ten bottles of rum
10 of gin
Same if liqueurs
Assorted vodka, tequila, whisky etc.
Full wine fridge of whites and fizzes
9 of a case I bought for Xmas
15 -25 bottles of red? Of varying quality from m n s meal deal to put away for ten years and see how it is
A full case of beer and the bottom of the fridge is full of beer
Two litres if baileys type stuff
Some pre made cocktails

Other things I can't think of without looking .

We are not big drinkers but we like buying nice alcohol.

I have no ciders though I realised as I typed this

BringOnTheScience · 25/12/2018 19:26

The 50 bottle wine rack is full. DH had 3 cases delivered last week & they

LBOCS2 · 25/12/2018 19:26

So, we said we'd provide the booze for Christmas so we took to the ILs with us:
1x bottle champagne
1x bottle dessert wine
1x bottle rubis liqueur
1x bottle 'nice' white
1x bottle 'nice' red
1x bottle drinking white
3x bottles drinking red
3x bottles drinking fizz (cremant).
So that's what's here right now.

At home we have at least 25 bottles of spirits, plus a couple of cases of wine, and more bits and pieces in the storage unit. We have drinking wines/spirits and naice ones 😁

We entertain a lot and probably drink

LBOCS2 · 25/12/2018 19:27

... 2/3 times a week.

dementedma · 25/12/2018 19:27

1 bottle red wine
2 bottles prosecco
I bottle of gin, 2/3rds left
cans of lager
4 bottles of craft ale (present for Dh today)
1 bottle Tia Maria (present for me today)
assorted soft drinks
3 mini bottles of Sipsmiths gins in a gift set received today

Going to do Dry January so better get rid of it all to avoid temptation

ScreamingBadSanta · 25/12/2018 19:27

2 unopened bottles of wine
1 half drunk bottle of wine
2 cans of Guinness
Most of a bottle of amaretto

BringOnTheScience · 25/12/2018 19:28

(Enter by mistake!)
... they're in the kitchen still. Cupboard of assorted spirits. Beers, lagers & ciders are in the garage.

SimplyPut · 25/12/2018 19:29

7x bottles of gin
4 x bottles of half drunk gin
3 x bottles of half drunk whiskey
20-24 bottles of wine (mix of red and white)
12 bottles of ale
12 bottles of lager
1.5 bottles of port
3 x bottles of prosecco plus one open in the fridge

Sounds like we are alcoholics but in reality drink very little at home.

Fully stocked wet bar, multiple bottles of the most popular (with my guests) spirits and a selection of beers.

Wine? I have no idea other than knowing there are still 2 full cases of champagne (planned so that I had what I would need for New Year). We are very (too?) well stocked. The new arrivals are a case of German icewine and a case of Canadian icewine, they were presents to me from a friend.

thenightsky · 25/12/2018 19:34

one bottle of cava
one bottle of white wine (started)
70cls vodka
one bottle of Baileys
6 660ml bottles of lager
half a bottle of Pernod.

We've been away on holiday til this morning so no shopping for Christmas done at all.

Millie2013 · 25/12/2018 19:36

A drinks cabinet full of bottles of random spirits, all have been opened
A bottle of amaretto (Christmas present, as yet untouched)
A bottle of port (ditto)
A bottle of raspberry gin (ditto)
5 mini bottles of gin
3 bottles of Barolo
A bottle of random red (poss Shiraz)
There are 4 bottles of red in the car I forgot to bring in, post supermarket.

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 25/12/2018 19:38

Enough wine and beer to sink a battleship. Plus whisky, gin and assorted weird Schnaps. Grin We aren’t actually huge drinkers but like to stick up for our Christmas guests.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 25/12/2018 19:38

Mini flavoured Aldi pretend Baileys
Half a bottle of amaretto
About quarter of a bottle of gin
Pretend Aperol
Martini bianco - nearly full
3 bottles of champagne
Nearly full bottle of sherry
1 bottle red wine
1 bottle white wine
Random mini madeira wines that have been in the fridge for months, since ILs brought them back from holiday.
18 pack of heineken

Redtartanshoes · 25/12/2018 19:38

35 bottles of gin. Some half full sone almost full.
4 bottles of red
3 prosecco
Half a dozen lager
Some fruit cider
Couple of cans of Guiness left over from baking
Bottle of baileys
Maybe a rose or 2

DamsonWhine · 25/12/2018 19:44

Shedloads. Enough to cater a large party at 5 minutes notice or to stock a small, but beautifully curated booze shop.

IncyWincyGrownUp · 25/12/2018 19:49

Can I come to that short-notice party Damson? I’ll being cheese and crackers.

I’ve got about eight bottles of gin (gifts!), a litre of Russian standard somewhere in the freezer, and I believe there are a couple of bottles of cider rattling about the fridge. There was a rumour involving a bottle of baileys, but I’ve not seen it in a while.

MyOtherProfile · 25/12/2018 20:00

To those who collect gin any other drink for that matter, why do you collect it?
For me I collect different types of gin but would onlt drink a bit at a time so end up with lots of opened bottles. I collect different flavours, e.g. rhubarb, quince, elderflower. I also collect different makes of gin for comparison. I guess I currently have about 10 open bottles of gin.

Oblomov18 · 25/12/2018 20:02

Loads. Lager, ciders, wines, Baileys, Gin.

somewhereovertherain · 25/12/2018 20:03

Another one with shed loads not big drinkers at home but have 10-12 whiskies, 8 or 9 Gins, vodka, run, baileys, a lot of wine red and white, a few bottles of Prosecco and beer.

Helps parents own a load of vines in France so regularly stock us up with decent wine.

So party at ours?
