Can you type in your accent (just for fun)

The sentence is "Check back tomorrow, I'll see if the book has arrived"

In my accent (probably a bit exaggerated) it would be:

"Check back tu-morra, al see if the book's urrived."

Harder than I thought!

Can you write in your accent? Can you guess where I'm from?

Can you tell I'm bored?Grin

Those of you who speak RP, is it book or buk?

A clipped book. Could be buk I suppose as long as you're not rhyming it with fuck Grin

Funny how the Scots and the RP's think they/we sound the same. I'd have agreed except I think the Scots would say "tomorraw"?

MrsMoastyToasty · 18/12/2018 22:15

"check back tommorral and oil see if the buks oirrived"...

Laiste · 18/12/2018 22:19

I don't have an accent. 50/50 West London and Northants/Oxfordshire.

I guess i'd just drop the has and say book's arrived rather than book has arrived.

No fun :(

BoswellandForshort · 18/12/2018 23:57

I’d say it exactly as it’s spelt, only with the h dropped out of ‘has’. Book with an uh sound rather than an ooh.

polkadotpixie · 19/12/2018 00:08

SPR1107 I agree with you Blessed does sound Irish, possibly an accent from the South of Ireland? They have a different accent in the North.
