Which aftershave makes men seem irresistible please?

So my husband wants aftershave for Christmas, but doesn't have a preference of scent. Which one leaves you weak at the knees so I've got somewhere to start? Otherwise I know I'm going to get overwhelmed in John Lewis!

Quercus by Penhaligons makes me want to follow a stranger down the street if he's wearing it.
Eau Sauvage is also gorgeous
Issy Myake for men is delicious too. DH currently has this.

ILoveAnOwl · 09/12/2018 14:53

Thanks all. I'm hoping Polo might turn my husband into Rupert Campbell Black!

Issey Miyake for me.

Penhaligans Sartorial is gorgeous!

Fozzleyplum · 09/12/2018 15:36

Someone upthread asked about Old Spice. My 15 year old DS (who is well over 6' and not difficult on the eye) loves the stuff. So does his string of girlfriends!

WeAreTheWeirdosMister · 09/12/2018 15:39

Fahrenheit, swoon

Missscarlett87 · 09/12/2018 15:43

Creed Aventus
Aqua di Parma

Chinks123 · 09/12/2018 15:46

Dp has built up quite a collection, Creed Aventus is his most expensive but most amazing aftershave: it smells amazing!
Dior sauvage is also really nice, and so is paco rabanne invictus.

IndigoSpritz · 09/12/2018 15:55

That was me Fozzleyplum. My neighbour uses Old Spice and he's 93. Obviously there is life in the old classic yet if the teens are getting into it !

flissfloss65 · 09/12/2018 15:59

Chanel Allure Homme Sport

ILoveAnOwl · 09/12/2018 16:17

I shall make a short list and go off sniffing! Thanks all

My ex used M+S woodspice. It was not the old geezer effect you might expect at all and one of the few fragrances that my migraines can tolerate.

DrCoconut · 09/12/2018 16:24

I think products smell different on different people so it's an individual thing as well as a general like of a particular one.

thebigmaniswatching · 09/12/2018 16:27

Creed Adventus is amazing, I can smell it a mile off! Too expensive for me though so DH has to make do with Chanel allure homme sport or prada Luna rossa!

KittyLikesMagic · 09/12/2018 16:37

Cool Water, and (somewhat embarrassingly given its popularity with teenage boys) Joop. Both drive me absolutely crazy.

fakeplasticbush · 09/12/2018 16:41

As mentioned a few times already, the original Issey Mikake does it for me. It really throws me when a random man is wearing it. So good.

Ooh forgot about joop! Dp used to wear it when we got together, he was a teenager and borrowed his dads but still Grin I love it.

LittleLlamaontheduskyroad · 09/12/2018 19:09

Dior Farenheit (or fuck-me-heit) as we call it! Amazing!!

Fluffyears · 09/12/2018 23:54

I hate Sauvage and Issey Miyake. They both smell like stale scent. You know if you get a jacket put with perfume on it from a previous occasion and it smells ‘stale’ that is what those two reek of and they make me feel queasy. I like clean scents and DH wears ultraviolet which smells like Parma violets a bit.

AdaColeman · 10/12/2018 00:04

Acqua di Parma or Eau Sauvage.

JaneJeffer · 10/12/2018 00:06

Blue Stratos Grin

BinkyBuntyFintyCunty · 10/12/2018 00:07

Dior Homme Sport
Cacherel Pour Homme

Annandale · 10/12/2018 00:13

Probably pretty dated now but DH used to wear Acqua di Gio by Armani and I loved it.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 10/12/2018 00:23

Chanel Allure Sport. I go weak at the knees at the merest whiff.
