I always thought for room service tray

borntobequiet · 07/12/2018 19:21

For your case so you don’t have to put it on the bed after it’s been dragged all round the airport and the unsavoury streets near the hotel (I stay in cheap hotels).

Unsureofmyselfx · 07/12/2018 19:22

Anyway you solved that question so could you help with another?

It’s my works xmas party here tonight. Starts at 7.30. What time would you go downstairs so you don’t look all eager beaver and more nonchalant party goer?

I’ve been ready for an hr. hence the pondering over the suitcase holder

Unsureofmyselfx · 07/12/2018 19:25

Also I’m two jd and cokes down so it’s making the stay two drinks behind your boss a bit difficult

It’s to put your suitcase on. Seriously how did you not know.

Skatersbeskating · 07/12/2018 19:25

Get your bum.downstairs NOW

Get on the chasers & get on that bloody dancefloor before they all arrive.Wine

cheesywotnots · 07/12/2018 19:25

I'd be there when it opens, more food and drink.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 07/12/2018 19:25

Christmassy Ah yes, bedbugs being famously incapable of movement Grin

Celticlassie · 07/12/2018 19:26

Are you alone or meeting folk? If I was with people I'd probably go for pre drinks. If I was on my own I'd probably head down about 10 minutes late.

TrippingTheVelvet · 07/12/2018 19:26

I'm that sad person who would sit in the room to 7:50pm doing nothing so I don't look like a tool by myself Grin

SantyClaws · 07/12/2018 19:26

7.31. Someone's gotta be first [grin[

FrankiesKnuckle · 07/12/2018 19:26

@ChristmassyJumper

I found this out to my bitter experience last year....

I used to put luggage under beds in hotels.
Came home with some uninvited guests.
The cost to remove said guests was roughly 4X the cost of the holiday.

Nixen · 07/12/2018 19:27

I’m so confused how so many people didn’t know this is for your suitcase?!

Unsureofmyselfx · 07/12/2018 19:28

On my own...

Right I’m heading down, Merry Xmas everyone! Hope you all have a lovely night

They usually have metal legs so bed bugs can’t climb them

UrsulaPandress · 07/12/2018 19:46

Bed bug deterrent.

ChoseCake · 07/12/2018 19:48

I recognise that carpet! Are you in a holiday inn per chance? :). Luggage holder for sure. Hope your evening is going/went well.

redsummershoes · 07/12/2018 19:52

it's to put your suitcase on so it doesn't sit on the floor and catches 'roaches or bedbugs.

Evangelinee · 07/12/2018 20:03

Room service tray. Every time I've been at there they've used it for that purpose.

Leeds2 · 07/12/2018 20:36

Definitely for luggage. If the porter brings your suitcase to the room, he will put it on that.
Room service tray surely goes on the coffee table. Or the bench.

TheQueenSnortsAvocados · 07/12/2018 20:43

I'm confused as to why people need to be so patronising about a completely inconsequential knowledge gap...

SlowNorris · 07/12/2018 20:45

There’s no way it’s a luggage rack.

What’s the benefit in raising your case 12 inches from the floor? It may as well be on the floor.

Disfordarkchocolate · 07/12/2018 20:46

For your suitcase, so you don't get the bedding dirty

OvO · 07/12/2018 20:46

I’ve never even seen one of those before! Never mind not knowing what it does.

I don’t get around much. Grin
