To ask what you are buying DH for Christmas?

Looking for inspiration of what to buy my DH who honestly has everything?
He work very long Hours and is often away, when I've asked him for ideas he answers that he just wants to spend more time with DCs and Me for Christmas and nothing more. He is the type of Guy that buys whatever he wants / needs at the time and doesn't have time for a Hobby.

What are you getting your DH / DPs for Christmas? Hoping I can get some inspiration!

Clarinet advent calendar
Port tasting set
Ralph Lauren jumper
Buckaroo Grin

That’s it, I think. I might buy him some aftershave too.

HerculesTheBercules · 01/12/2018 08:12

I’ve boight mine a smart plug, so he can operate a device - the kettle for example - from the Alexa. He’ll quite enjoy that.

Scrumptiousbears · 01/12/2018 08:12

PS4 (yes I know he's a kid)
Rucksack
Socks (size 15 feet so not widely available)
T-Shirts
Underwear
Various stocking fillers.

Vebrithien · 01/12/2018 08:20

A Hornby Santa Express train set! Found it on offer, and DH's has been fascinated with them since seeing my late GF's set he used to have in the attic. DH has been saying for a while, now we have DD, he love to have a train around the bottom of the Christmas tree. Could have got a cheaper one, but that would have just been a one shot, with the Hornby, we can add to it, including a Thomas train for DD!

Nice backpack for work
Glasses case
Game of Thrones tat
Oh and hopefully some tickets to see Hugh Jackman doing his Greatest Showman Tour.

BarbedBloom · 01/12/2018 08:31

PlayStation VR and some games. New pjs. Acrylic paint pens. Japanese kit kats in weird flavours. A new hoody and some t-shirts from Qwertee. A HDMI splitter and a gadget organiser. Bluetooth shower speaker. Wireless Bluetooth headphones. Spoiled him a bit as it has been a hard year and he has been amazing

Blobbyweeble · 01/12/2018 08:36

My DH is impossible, hates tech, is totally unfashionable, plays golf but doesn’t want anything to do with that. He’s remarkably unmaterialistic and consequently very difficult. The only thing I will get him is some new shaving cream/soap as his lasts two years and is about to run out. Any recommendations for real luxury shaving cream/soap?

Tailrunner · 01/12/2018 08:37

New kitchen knives as he enjoys cooking but has been complaining that our knives are rubbish, PJs from the DC and a bottle of gin.

happytobemrsg · 01/12/2018 08:44

My DH also has everything! This year we have decided to book a spa hotel for a couple of nights in January as our Christmas presents to each other

Peopleplease · 01/12/2018 08:47

Normally he picks out clothes and I pay for them. Or PlayStation games but this year I’ve got him White Walker scotch!! He likes walkers and GOT so hopefully will like this.

ThroughThickAndThin where did you find the soda stream £100 reduced to £40 please? I've just had a look at Boots online and it's £100

TroyKing · 01/12/2018 09:24

Original art work. (Modern)
Not seen anything I'm 100% about yet.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 01/12/2018 09:37

It was in the store user, Boots in Bluewater on Thursday.

user1471553214 · 01/12/2018 09:55

Thank you! Good find, hope I'm so lucky in my local shop!

mostdays · 01/12/2018 09:58

A truly stupid set of books he's asked for, and it will hurt me to hand over the money for such tosh so it's a sign of my love for him that I will.
He also wants a decent shaver thing.
We've agreed we'd rather spend money on the dc's presents and on food and drink than on presents for us. We have xmas juat the 5 of us for the first time ever this year and are really looking forward to doing it our way :)

YahBasic · 01/12/2018 10:08

The Sodastream was £40 for about a week or so online at Boots over Black Friday, user. It may come down again in a week or so?

This year I’ve got him:
Ancestry DNA kit
New work shoes
Timberland navy chinos
A couple of books
Burger press
A print for the house

I’ve also bought a couple of things for my mum to give to him along with the usual toiletries and socks.

I’m debating whether to add on an electric toothbrush as he’s not had one before, but not sure if he’d find it weird.

user1471553214 · 01/12/2018 10:23

I'll keep looking, thanks!

CheerfulMuddler · 01/12/2018 15:36

A big book of children's birthday cakes, as he always makes DS's and he likes having instructions to follow.
A novel.
A chocolate orange.
I'm considering getting him a subscription to Sitters, so we can have some date nights, but that's rather self-serving, as it's been me who's been pushing for them ...

speakingtruthfully · 01/12/2018 15:50

Lego Death Star !

I bought him the millennium falcon for his birthday / promotion at work pressie and it was so loved and that I decided that money well spent would be the Death Star , (it's quite a big box and an absolute bugger to hide but am currently hiding it in plain site as I have a selection of boxes of stuff from storage being ebayed so have tucked it in near them hoping he doesn't rummage )
I've got him the usual selection of other bits like a book he chose, a t shirt, bottle of gin etc etc

BearSoFair · 01/12/2018 15:52

Roger Daltrey's book, hot sauce set, and bamboo socks.

DontCallMeCharlotte · 01/12/2018 16:09

A polo shirt from the football club he supports and yesterday he dropped some very unsubtle hints that he'd like some new trainers, so trainers I guess! And a new jumper I expect. Some years I'm inspired. This isn't one of them.

whippetwoman · 01/12/2018 16:16

A mixed crate of Belgian beers as he really liked a particular one when he had it abroad but you can't buy it here. Plus some books, some gin that he likes and a CD.
