Asda? Sainsbury’s?

Sainsbury's counter ones are the best by miles

Bluntness100 · 26/11/2018 20:46

I find dr oetker and other frozen ones a bit shit.

I like fresh ones, like pizza express ones, (from supermarket: but then you can add to them, mushrooms, ham, cheese, peppers, olives, chilli, whatever you have in and make them fairly special.

Asda pizza counter.

Nicpem1982 · 26/11/2018 20:46

Iceland stuffed crust

Asda pizza counter

IndigoSpritz · 26/11/2018 20:49

I'm making one tomorrow. I haven't done any for a few months so I'm quite looking forward to it. If you have the time and inclination to make your own pizza dough and tomato sauce, home-made is the way !

Perfectpeony · 26/11/2018 20:49

I don’t know if they do it anymore but you can buy the Pizza Express ones in the shops, the margarita was nothing special but the pulled pork one tastes the same as you get in the restaurant Smile

Waitrose are good- you just have to add a bit of seasoning and fresh herbs as they can be a bit bland.

thenightsky · 26/11/2018 20:52

Dr Oetker Ristorante But add extra toppings. Tonight I had anchovies and some fried in butter mushrooms added to a mozzarella one.

Bath9000 · 26/11/2018 20:54

Aldi frozen one, it’s really tasty.

Wingbing · 26/11/2018 21:00

Sainsbury’s sourdough pizza. Yummy.

Jamhandprints · 26/11/2018 21:07

Asda pizza counter.

IndigoSpritz · 26/11/2018 21:25

The oval-shaped ones from Waitrose, M&S and Sainsbury's are good. Slightly pricy but less than the price of a takeaway.

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 26/11/2018 21:28

Have had Lidl's sourdough pizzas at my parents' a few times, which were really nice. Probably the best supermarket ones I've had.

Cocobana · 26/11/2018 21:28

Morrison’s fresh pizza, thin and crispy base or coop

Oogle · 26/11/2018 21:30

Co-op irresistible. My favourite pizza...and I eat a lot of pizza Grin

Cocobana · 26/11/2018 21:30

Or we sometimes but readymade pizza dough and roll it out and put our own toppings on and this is gorgeous

Cocobana · 26/11/2018 21:31

Choose sauce / toppings

Picard frozen margarita (Ocado) - the best by miles

Or yy to that dirty M & S one - pulled pork etc about £6-8?

stoplickingthetelly · 26/11/2018 21:36

Asda counter ones for me.

EssentialHummus · 26/11/2018 21:38

I used to love Dr Oetker but have gone off them. Now the oval sourdough Sainsbury's or Lidl for me. Haven't paid for a takeaway pizza (or Indian... thanks Iceland) in years.

Justmuddlingalong · 26/11/2018 21:40

Large sainsburys thin deli counter margherita covered in a punnet of mushrooms. Delicious. 😋

Boyskeepswinging · 26/11/2018 21:41

Second Oogle with Co-op irresistible. We too love a pizza and have done taste tests with all the competition (Waitrose, M&S, all the supermarket's "Best" ranges etc etc) but the Co-op wins hands down.

ChimperRimper · 26/11/2018 21:42

Another vote for the Picard frozen pizzas on Ocado. Better than most restaurant pizza. We buy pepperoni to pop on top as they only sell a margarita version. Always worth having a few in the freezer!

winterisstillcoming · 26/11/2018 21:59

It's also bout how you cook them , try a stone slab- we have an electric pizza oven called 'the original pizza oven' and it makes the shop bough ones taste really good.
