I’m having a real life midlife crisis about this right now. It started in August and has prompted a search of land (tricky). I want life to be a bit trickier (practically speaking) and for things to not be so convenient. I want to cut down on all of the unnecessary stuff we have and feel more grounded. We are at our happiest when we’re out with the dogs, pottering next to a river or scrambling down a mountain but there seems to be no time for this. Even weekends are consumed by stuff. We’ve taken steps to change things but I’ve got this itch that needs to be scratched. DH is on board but the kids aren’t convinced! I’m dreaming of a log cabin or some yurts. So OP, I hear you!

Anyway, i grant you cherry trees full of clouds of blush pink blossom which will scatter down on to your crystal clear stream like confetti in spring and be laden with delicious plump cherries in autumn.
