DS4 is currently devouring a bowl of porridge.

He sometimes has yoghurt and a cereal bar. Or weetabix.

He has been known to ask for pizza....

7 year old has overnight oats, or toast, or yoghurt and muesli. At weekends maybe a fry up or dippy eggs and soldiers or baked eggs.

thenewaveragebear1983 · 21/11/2018 09:21

My dd (14) nibbles a dry crust of bread if she’s got time.

My ds (6) and (3) eat one or sometimes two bowls of cereal which is usually rice crispies, fruit and fibre and granola mixed together, sometimes toast, usually fruit. Ds (3) was still hungry so he had a raw carrot as well.

naicepineapple · 21/11/2018 09:29

2.5yo usually has porridge or toast plus a piece of fruit (normally banana).

They all have a ‘main’ plus fruit and/or Greek yoghurt and ‘breakfast juice’ so a glass of proper fruit juice

Choices of ‘mains’ are generally -
Weetabix
Ready brek
Cheerios
Shreddies
^well the Aldi versions of all of these
Toast
Mini scotch pancakes
Crumpets or bagels

Fruit is generally
Banana
Apple
Grapes
Melon
Strawberries

Weekends they don’t really stray from the norm, they can have Nutella on their toast or bagel or if DP is around Sunday morning we’ll sometimes have something like scrambled egg hash brown and beans, but they’re pretty loyal to their normal breakfasts

IToldYouIWasFreaky · 21/11/2018 09:54

DS goes through phases, including refusing breakfast altogether. When he does that I can normally persuade him to at least have a milkshake made with a whole banana, milk and peanut butter.
He's having a plain yoghurt with blueberries and honey phase at the moment, followed by a slice of toast with butter and washed down with herbal tea.

Juanbablo · 21/11/2018 10:12

This morning ds1 had a peanut butter and jam sandwich, dd had shreddies, ds2 had shreddies and half a piece of jam on toast.

Sometimes they will have eggs, or French toast, or crumpets.

Clutterbugsmum · 21/11/2018 10:22

Dd1 normally has either

Toast
Plain croissant
Spaghetti on its own
Yoghurt

Dd2 and ds
All the above along with
Cereal
Porridge
Eggs.

Lunalula · 21/11/2018 10:23

Ds 3yo and dd 11mo will have one of the following - porridge, weetabix, cornflakes, toast with butter or jam, yogurt, a banana or occasionally a sausage sandwich (more of a brunch though when they rarely wake up late)
Ds will also eat cocopops or weetos too.

Clutterbugsmum · 21/11/2018 10:24

Meant to add
Dd1 had cheese and ham sandwiches for a long time

Fishcakey · 21/11/2018 10:27

Nothing and I don't force him as I hate breakfast too.

AamdC · 21/11/2018 10:27

Something quick so cereal bars, pain au chocolate, croissant type things, ds1 has ro.leave the house at about 7.50 to get to school.for 8.20 he walks, ds2 is disabled and goes to a special school he gets picked up about 8 we dont have a lot of time in the mornings .

Grumpbum123 · 21/11/2018 10:27

Mine had beans and cheese on toast this morning. Otherwise it’s usually eggs, porridge and occasionally granola

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 21/11/2018 10:30

Either porridge, yoghurt & fruit, toast & fruit or cereal (they like bran flakes Envy

BlackInk · 21/11/2018 10:30

My DC love their breakfast too. They're early wakers and make themselves first breakfast when they get up at about half 6, second breakfast is when me and their dad come downstairs at about 7.15, and third breakfast is later on non-school days when I tend to do housework before getting dressed.

First breakfast:
Natural yogurt with honey and fruit or a handful of cereal/granola on top.

Second breakfast:
Slice of toast with butter, marmite, peanut butter or cheese spread.

Third breakfast (weekends and holidays only):
Second slice of toast with a sweet topping (usually chocolate spread) or a brioche, croissant or pancake, etc.

stegosauruslady · 21/11/2018 10:34

Teen DD1 has some kind of breakfast biscuit when she gets to school. She tend to vomit if given breakfast early in the morning and has a long journey to school.

The littler two have anything from cereal and milk to eggs or beans on toast or the occasional pain au chocolat.

JurassicGirl · 21/11/2018 10:36

Porridge today.

Generally toast with peanut butter, cheese or choc spread

Or

Cereal (weetabix, multigrain hoops or shreddies)

However, youngest ds sometimes has ketchup Grin with:
Quorn nuggets
Potato waffles
Veggie hot dogs wrapped in bread

Xiaoxiong · 21/11/2018 10:37

BlackInk mine also have first and second breakfasts! I feel like I'm raising a pack of hobbits. We call third breakfast brunch though just to hide the shame.

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:37

On a regular basis we have cheerios or wheetabix followed by a portion of fruit. We have stopped have porridge oats since my Dr told me off for having it too regularly.

At the weekends we will have french toast, pancakes, dippy eggs or on special treat days a full fry up.

TwittleBee · 21/11/2018 10:38

(oh DS is 18 months btw)

NellWilsonsWhiteHair · 21/11/2018 10:42

Porridge (made with water and excellent for shoving other stuff into - quinoa/millet/flaxseed/other seeds/ground or chopped nuts/stewed fruit), and a soft boiled egg. Fruit if he's still hungry after that.

When I was working (on mat leave just now), it was our only sit-down meal together in the week, and it's my favourite meal anyway.

At the weekend I usually do pancakes.

formerbabe · 21/11/2018 10:44

Same everyday...a croissant, yoghurt, Apple and a glass of milk.

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 21/11/2018 10:54

Rice crispies or Cheerios
Crumpets or toast with butter
Croissants

Scrambled eggs / sausages
Waffles / pancakes and fruit at the weekend

BlackInk · 21/11/2018 11:06

Xiaoxiong... You might be spot on, I do have alarmingly hairy toes :)

MrsMarigold · 21/11/2018 11:09

Scrambled eggs and toast, porridge with chopped fruit, yoghurt and a slice of peanut butter on toast, toasted cheese, eggy bread with fruit and maple syrup (occasionally), Alpen, cornflakes and a banana, scones, sausage sandwiches with ketchup, bacon butties, croissants. I try and vary it. Often I give a hot chocolate too.

ChorleyFMcominginyourears · 21/11/2018 11:10

Mine all have a bowl of weetabix or rice krispies followed by a couple of crumpets with butter or jam.
