Missing Boy - Aberdeenshire

Sharing this here as hoping to get Liam’s pic out as much as possible.
Liam is 16 years old.
He was last seen at around 12pm on Saturday 17 November 2018 in the Queens Road area of Aberdeen.
Liam is described as white, 6'4" and has short brown hair, slim build, wearing dark top, blue jeans and Nike Air Max trainers and carrying a North Face backpack.

Police are now focusing their search on Banchory.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1302 of 18 November.

OP I’ve read some posts on social media speculating that Liam might have gone to another city like Glasgow or Edinburgh and be sleeping rough. Just to reassure you - we don’t have 16 year olds sleeping rough on the street of Scottish cities.

Anyone as young as Liam would be spotted very quickly by the public, rough sleepers themselves or Street Teams like RSVP.

The street teams in big cities know 80% plus of rough sleepers in Their patch and he would be spotted straight away.

All the charities who work with homeless people will know about Liam and will be looking out for him. Please tell his family this.

It seems a strange way for him to go to another city, unless he was deliberately trying not to leave a trace, but that could also be why he didn't take his phone knowing they can be traced.

I pray they find him soon. His family must be so worried.

This is such a terrible situation, I hope this boy gets found.

Another day out searching with the police (plus dogs, plus helicopter and hopefully have the drones out later)
The police have taken a lot of calls about possible sightings and are checking out every single one.

Where are the police focusing now? Is it still Crathes and Banchory (where I live).

Fingers crossed for one of those sightings is right.

Ironically it's a pal of mine who has lost her dog, so I have been helping with the search for her (before we were made aware of Liam's connection with Banchory).

Sending my most positive wishes your way. I really feel for everyone involved, especially as I can relate having two teenage boys at the Academy here.

Nothing practical I can do as I'm 1000s of miles away. But saying a prayer and hoping for a good resolution.

Hope he’s found. DD’s friend’s brother is his mate and reckons there have been loads of sightings. Teenage chatter rather than anything positive.
