Just what I needed on a Monday morning. Totally didn't see it coming. Not a great start to the week!

I am not surprised you said the NHS there is a clicky culture throughout. If it helps any i was sacked after 21 years earlier this summer.

I now work in a school, hours are better, stress is much less. The pay isn’t great but with UC it’s not that far off what I was earning before. Only a couple of hundred a month in it. And my overall costs are less.

I was unemployed for three weeks and it was very stressful. Hoping you find something soon.

This is still bothering me so much. My team were all so genuinely shocked when I left, it's absolutely doing my head in and I'm really beating myself up about it. I was told I was good at the job and they were impressed with how fast I'd picked it up. So why get rid?? It's driving me mad Sad

Justonedayatatime11, sorry to hear that. Are you still technically employed? If so, you could contact the Employee Assistance Scheme and talk this through with someone. You will find your peace with it eventually, but it does sound like you need a focused debrief.

Or would you be able to afford a few sessions of private counselling/couching, just to help you think it through a bit? GP should be able to arrange some, but it might be a bit of a wait.

Take care.

What do you specialise in op... there is always something else and somewhere else. I know a consultant who was “asked to leave” as they just didn’t get on. Now working in a brilliant company really gets in with his boss - there is hope. Somethings happen for a reason. Pick yourself up, dust yourself down you’re worthy of something great- time to seek it out? X
