..... and what is the thought process (if any) behind it?

Thursday 9am-11am. We're both up by then Grin

hugoagogo · 18/11/2018 19:57

Wednesday tea time, I have a midweek saver or some such shit from tesco. It works for us.

LondonLassInTheCountry · 18/11/2018 19:58

Normally in a Tuesday.

We find over the weekend and Monday ALOT is subsidised for something else!

RebootYourEngine · 18/11/2018 20:00

Evenings because there are less likely to be substitutes or missing items.

IHeartMarmiteToast · 18/11/2018 20:01

Just upgraded to the everyday delivery from Tesco. We now get delivery on a Sunday 6-7 first evening slot. Means salads are nice and fresj6 for work lunches

Yes have done it for 18 months. Love it. Get the £1 slot on a Friday evening between 9 and 10. Ds hates the supermarket so it saves a lot of complaining from him.

SoyDora · 18/11/2018 20:06

Whatever is available and cheapest, at a time in going to be in, when I get round to ordering a shop! We don’t do it regularly, just when we run out of food!

Oblomov18 · 18/11/2018 20:06

Book next available slot, ASAP, but only if it's 50 pence or £1. Refuse to pay more.

trilbydoll · 18/11/2018 20:09

Tues evening because I have a midweek delivery pass. By Monday meal combinations can be a bit odd!

mrsoutnumbered · 18/11/2018 20:12

Usually Thursday lunchtime.

I write a meal plan with a list of things needed for those meals.
Then I go through the 'favourites' and add all the stuff I need
Then I find anything else that's on the list
Then I add booze Wine

BikeRunSki · 18/11/2018 20:15

The next possible time that i’lol be in, sinits ydtdlky about 9pm. 2!ot 3 days later. I used to be able to get 7 of 8 pm the following day easily, but slots are getting difficult to get now.

overitalready · 18/11/2018 20:16

Sunday mornings 10-11 no real idea why anymore but must have been a thought process at some point.

driggle · 18/11/2018 20:17

Friday morning. I was getting it on a Tuesday but then found myself rummaging together crap packed lunches for DS come the following Monday & Tuesday. So I get it on a Friday morning, we get to enjoy nice, fresh stuff over the weekend and I'm all set for packed lunches for the week (DS has hot dinner on a Fri)

Ploppymoodypants · 18/11/2018 20:20

Friday evening about 9pm. Kids in bed, open the wine as soon as it arrives and unpack whilst having a drink and scoffing delicious titbits.
Means have fresh bakery bread and deli bits for weekend. Can lob most stuff in the freezer for cooking in the week. Have fresh veg for roast on a Sunday.

Usually pop in to Tesco for a top up about Wednesday for milk and maybe fruit or the odd bit of veg

Mooey89 · 18/11/2018 20:21

Sunday mornings so we’re prepared for the week ahead.
Saturdays would make more sense but it feels wrong 🙈

BrickByBrick · 18/11/2018 20:36

I have an anytime pass for Sainsburys, but our regular slot is 1-2 on a Monday, beginning of the week and dh is pretty much guaranteed to be in. I do the order, he puts it away.

Minta85 · 18/11/2018 20:43

I have Ocado Reserved slot Sunday’s 6-7pm. Fresh food has best dates as it’s the start of a new week, and it’s a day and time when I’m always in.

SharkSave · 18/11/2018 20:49

Thursday evenings 7-8.

Kids are in bed and dinner eaten. Also means we have food for the weekend. Can pretty much always guarantee we'll be in

I've got a delivery saver pass thing for Tues-thurs deliveries

honeysucklejasmine · 18/11/2018 20:52

Any weekday evening after kids bedtime. Depends when the cheapest slot is. Latest I've gone for is 9.30-10.30pm

MamaLovesMango · 18/11/2018 20:54

Any time i know I’ll be at home to put everything away in the right place and when DH is home so he can help me wrestle the dog and kids away from the front door whilst I get it in.

Pinkprincess1978 · 18/11/2018 22:27

Thursday between 8-9. Its the cheapest time (plus at least 50% of the time they rung to ask if they can deliver early).

Thought process is we get food in ready for the weekend when we are more likely to be cooking and need fresh ingredients plus if we do start to run out of food for lunches we know we don't have to worry about Friday.

stinkypoo · 18/11/2018 23:22

Tues or Thurs after 6pm when I know I'll be in.

maggienolia · 19/11/2018 07:48

Friday evening if I'm working Saturday
Saturday morning if not.
So we're set for the week ahead.

Littlelambpeep · 19/11/2018 07:56

I used to like Monday evening after work (use used to buy a few littl3 bits for the weekend on Saturdays while out for the paper) so fresh stuff in for dinners and packed lunches all week
