Help!!

The Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IF250UKT] Pet Hair, Twin Battery, Navy is on sale today £200 cheaper than normal. I need to decide if I should get one.

Do you have one? Is it any good on hard floors?

Sorry wise mumsneters I'm just a bit ahh as to whether to get one or not. TIA

I debated getting a Shark cordless, but went for the new Dyson in the end.

The decision point for me was how it "stores". The Dyson has a wall hanging bracket and it fits really nicely in my utility room.

The Shark is just far more bulky and the 2 batteries were less of an issue now the new Dyson runs for up to 60 mins (lowest suction - I've not tested this but I've had it on level 2 for 30 mins and been fine)

I've switched from a cordless Dyson V8 to the V10. Its a big upgrade.

3 suction levels (max nearly pulls the carpet off the floor) and a much bigger bin.

My big gripe with the V8 was emptying it. I used to have to get a knife to push the debris out of the bin.

That's all been redesigned and the emptying mechanism is really good now and the bin is twice as big (as it the battery life).

Tbf I think Dyson got caught out by Shark but would suggest that when comparing the new cordless Dyson is a massive improvement over the old and it's debatable which is best (depends on your requirements)

Lastly, no I don't work for Dyson or have any affiliation with them! Yes I've used a current shark model (my mum has one and I took it for a test drive/vacuum!).

I would agree the Shark is better than the V8 Dyson but not the V10.
