Just made a coffee and back to bed. What are you doing today?

I will go to Morrisons with OH around 8.30, may get some breakfast and back before everyone is awake.

I have some work to do at some point ( I work from home so not too much trouble), habe to take my mother to church, and DD to Costas and Tescos for food shopping for her- she is at University in student accommodation, but home for the weekend.
OH will be cooking dinner, and otherwise just an at home relaxed day.

Comoran wow, that sounds incredible. I hope you manage to get in. (I’d be right at the back so I could slip out though as it sounds like something that could be VERY long).

IAmNotLikeThem · 11/11/2018 07:13

A sizeable majority who have forgotten about Remembrance Sunday then.

GrumpyOldMare · 11/11/2018 07:18

Working.
We do have a Remembrance Service though which staff are able to attend.

ILoveAutum · 11/11/2018 07:22

8. It has a massive skylight, that’s been a complete bastard to paint up to because it shows every single roller mark and standing on a ladder, rollering at full stretch isn’t easy. But it’s good enough. In certain light I can see a couple of marks, but I’m sure no one else will P be looking that closely. If it’s still annoying me I’ll give it another coat sometime. The ceiling doesn’t have streaks, it just has some patches where I can still see a difference between the plaster and a repair and some shadowing around the edges, which might be ok this morning. I’m hoping so, then I don’t have have to cut in again, just re roller.

confusednorthner · 11/11/2018 07:23

Going to put daughters horse out in a bit then back for shower, ds to one church while dd to different one for remembrance services. Then home for tidy and Facebook selling then football match and more remembrance celebrations this evening.
Think I need coffee first!

RJnomore1 · 11/11/2018 07:26

Gym at 9, got slides to make up for the uni class I teach, some housework to do, ironing😩, supermarket and some batch cooking (quick recipes and a roast). I need to at least start a psychology essay for next week and I'm hoping to catch up on some tv. I'll probably watch the Manchester derby with dh at 4.30 when he gets home from work.

Lots to do, let's see how much i get through.

ILoveAutum · 11/11/2018 07:26

Or like me just didn’t think to mention it (in my first post). There are lots of things ill be doing today that I didn’t mention. I’m sure others are the same ‍🤷🏻‍♀️ besides, people are allowed to choose not to attend one.

IAmNotLikeThem · 11/11/2018 07:29

Of course people are allowed to choose not to attend Remembrance Sunday ILoveAutum

Or maybe they haven't forgotten but aren't going for any number of reasons? It's not compulsory yet

androbbob · 11/11/2018 07:31

Currently in a hotel bed but getting up soon to take DS 12 to a football tournament at RAF Cosford - it's a premier league Truce Qualifier and will have a ceremony and wreath laying before the football begins.

Chrisinthemorning · 11/11/2018 07:34

Going to Church for Remembrance parade. To be honest we don’t normally but DS is a Beaver now, so we are going.
We’re staying at a friends house so need to get up and tiptoe out without waking everyone.
After Church lazy Sunday, cook a roast, do ironing, watch a film, hoping for a nap!

Then why post one single line on this otherwise nice thread?

Well we don’t live in the UK, our Remembrance here is held in the spring! Hence going to a party for Martinmas which I suppose you’d forgotten about Hmm

What an odd comment to make on the internet where posters could come from anywhere.

Fireba11 · 11/11/2018 07:38

I'm up early because I'm uncomfortable, and my plans for today include hoping desperately for baby to arrive - I'm 6 days overdue!

speakout · 11/11/2018 07:38

I will be at the supermarket at 11 am.

A two minute silence is observed then.

Everything stops.

Up since 6 with dc. Collecting the shopping shortly, home for the Remembrance Day service. Then laundry/homework and a walk probably. Eldest ds has a party later.
Although 29 weeks pregnant and not overly happy with baby movements at the moment so it might be a day at hospital if they don’t pick up

brizzledrizzle · 11/11/2018 07:40

It was going to be going to the remembrance service in town but I have a dc in bed ill so it'll be the cenotaph on to instead.

Other than that not much.

BiddyPop · 11/11/2018 07:43

As 1 Cub decided at midnight he was going home, parent arrived at 1am, and al other Cubs finally settled at 2, I got less than 5 hours sleep in the hostel bed. I’m now up to shower and get moving as the Scout Group’s 1st aid course clashes unavoidably, and I need to be back in our Den by 9am, an hour away.

Dh and dd are goin g down the country to see the latest DNiece/DCousin arrival, his big DSis and their parents - a 3 hour journey each way. So won’t be home until late. I think I need to do the food shopping between my course finishing and them getting home, and get a meal on the table.

Sort the mucky gear after a very mucky hike yesterday.

And get organized for my DF arriving about 9pm tonight needing a bed.

And getting organized for another manic week at work, as well as for dD at school and DH traveling for work.

Then a much deserved sleep.....as soon as I can get away with that!

EsmeeMerlin · 11/11/2018 07:46

Ds1(5) and I stayed over last night at my stepmother’s house for a strictly night. My dad died when I was a child but have stayed in contact.

We are in the spare bedroom trying to hold out til 8 to go downstairs. I don’t want to risk waking anyone.

Today we are going to a walking trail(weather permitting) staying here for Sunday dinner before going home back to dh and ds2 and getting ready for the week ahead.

Givemeallyourcucumber · 11/11/2018 07:49

Looking after a friends dog today. That will keep the DCs entertained. Otherwise housework and chilling out. Probably a walk. Getting ready for the new week. Nothing exciting but nothing awful either. Just right.

youarenotkiddingme · 11/11/2018 07:49

Woke up at stupid o clock as have stupid period that decided to go everywhere 😫

Bedding on hot wash. Mattress drying after being cleaned. I have a coffee and ds has just got up.

Morning house sorting and faffing and then he has a swimming meet later on.

Swim training later if he's up to it.

WhirlwindHugs · 11/11/2018 07:53

Just getting ready to go to work, DH will take all of the kids to oldest's rugby match (which stops for the two minute silence).
Squeeze in some lunch, then remembrance parade is in the afternoon.
Homework, housework etc.

TowerRingInferno · 11/11/2018 08:00

Remembrance Day service this morning(me and ds going to different ones in different places 😬).
Defrosting the fridge freezer
Ironing 10000 shirts
Helping with homework

Unicornandbows · 11/11/2018 08:04

Have the painter coming round at 10am so must drop my fluffball off to my parents for doggy sitting..
P?
Do lots of laundry and clear up the house, get some shopping and do a prayer for remembrance day.

Then at some point go collect my fluff again
