DH says it's weird but I'm really enjoying my greggs custard slice while soaking in my hot bubble bath Grin

I used to smoke in the bath!

MumGoneCrazy · 05/11/2018 20:40

Same @GreenDinosaur especially while pregnant, for some reason I always wanted to be in water so had 2 baths a day, one in morning and one in evening, each about 2-3 hours long.

I have a small table I put next to the bath with drink and snacks on, sometimes a book or my phone.

My bathroom is next to my kitchen and the fridge is right by the door, I haven't found a way to stop myself from raiding it on way past Blush

OP if that makes you happy - enjoy. Seems unattractive and unhygienic. Might br tricky getting out of the bath if you have a choking or coughing fit. An interesting heimlich manouvre for someone.

isittheholidaysyet · 05/11/2018 20:43

Cup of tea, definately.

Snacks, yes, sometimes.

Just put a table next to the bath (I use the laundry basket, because it has a solid top.) You need something to rest your phone/tablet or book on anyway.

MumGoneCrazy · 05/11/2018 20:43

I tried drinking tea in the bath but found it too weird because of the temperature so stick to a cold glass of shandy usually or a vodka and coke if it's been a trying week Grin

I never thought about choking possibility but I always eat sat up and I chew thoroughly

My DC certainly think a lot of food is significantly improved by being dunked in the bath and smothered in bubbles

Underhereye, I miss smoking in the bath!

PickAChew · 05/11/2018 20:50

Yuck, no.

Flashingbeacon · 05/11/2018 20:55

You’ve reminded me about this op. I used to go camping every weekend and holiday when I was a teenager at school. I’d come him filthy, knackered and starving. A hot bath and a snack and straight to bed used to sort me out.
Id hike for 2/3 days carrying minimum food so I’d come home starving but I’d be shattered as well.
Never felt so good.
These days I could probably make it up the stairs and run the bath!

Pascha · 05/11/2018 20:56

Is this you OP?

Never, need one hand for my book and one for my glass of wine.

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 05/11/2018 21:01

I like to go into the bath with a cuppa, at least one snack and either a book, dvd (on the laptop balanced on the toilet) or netflix or amazon prime on the iPad. Always very careful to keep away from the water and the bathroom is ventilated well so no chance (minimal chance) of damage to anything. Those plus lots of bubbles and lovely boiling water makes for the perfect bath.

theworldistoosmall · 05/11/2018 21:06

No. Just why?
And people complain about others eating in the cinema, wondering why people have to be constantly snacking.

TattiePants · 05/11/2018 21:19

I only have a bath when I know I can be in there for at least 2 hours (anything less is just not worth the effort). I have a deep window sill next to the bath with loads of room for snacks, a drink, book, magazine and phone. Loads of bubbles, top the hot water up every so often - perfection!

Petitepamplemousse · 05/11/2018 21:36

I have no standards. I once at a full roast dinner in the bath and enjoy a nightly tea or wine in the bubbles.

CakeNinja · 05/11/2018 21:41

The idea of it is grim to me. My toilet is quite near the bath.
Just why? Confused

TheSheepofWallSt · 05/11/2018 21:43

Ahhh cold white wine and a couple of fags in the bath before going out clubbing when I was pre-DS....

That was living.

Howhot · 05/11/2018 21:54

A friend of mine has been known to happily take in a takeaway pizza. Personally not for me. I like it super hot and the last thing I wanna do is eat

Petitepamplemousse · 05/11/2018 21:55

Well, it was brought to me in the bath. I enjoy very long baths so I quickly train all my boyfriends to bring me drinks and occasional snacks, occasionally they oblige with a full meal as well. 😂

daphine2004 · 05/11/2018 22:12

I can’t believe that there’s not more people saying this is wrong. I’ve ndvrr eaten and definitely will not eat in the bath. I think a large glass of red works well though.

MumGoneCrazy · 05/11/2018 22:21

While pregnant DH used to bring me a large glass of ice cubes and a big bowl of chicken nuggets for every evening bath, he stopped after DC were born as they were no longer cravings just wants Hmm

@Petitepamplemousse a full cooked dinner Shock
How do you train them that well? I need tips Grin

@mumgonecrazy, to be fair I think knowing my ex-DP, he had most probably been a total dick that day, so it was a way of apologising. It worked though 😂

Fabpinky · 05/11/2018 22:32

Beans on toast in the bath 😂😂😂😂😂 amazing

saniner · 05/11/2018 22:33

Never have but I'm going to start now
