Just watching TV and an advert come on with loads of people in it and I thought there must be loads of people out there who have been in adverts on TV. I haven't! But I knew someone who used to model for catalogues as a child! Have you ever been an extra in an advert? Just being nosy 😁

A old mate of mine was in one of those things you see between the ads ending and the next program beginning? I've forgotten what it's called, a banner or a leader or something. Anyway, he had to stop in the middle of hanging out some washing and assume a superman pose in front of a sheet flying in the wind (like it's a cape). He still pops up on ITV sometimes. He did quite a lot extra type stuff and was forever auditioning for gameshows.

I'm in tears here over your poor friend lol

Not a tv advert but I was on the poster for the one direction movie in around 2013 Blush

No, although DH and I were in a very boring documentary that nobody watched once.

BUT my best-friend-at-work's-daughter has been in a couple, and my friend was in one of them with her. It was on telly quite a lot last winter, which was VERY exciting! [and, like others have said, they were very well paid]

DD and I were on the news once, playing catch in the background.

RelentlessSylvia · 06/11/2018 16:15

Philomena, that makes me picture you
playing catch in the newsroom behind the newsreader Grin

I was once at a theme park as a child and they were filming for an advert on the log flumes. I was very disappointed when the advert was released and they had chose another log.

Anyone remember a show called Busmans Holiday presented by Sarah Kennedy? I was in that. They were filming in our local kids centre. I was the only one who knew how to jump on one of those things that looked like a football cut in half with a plastic circle. They filmed me bouncing across the hall then on to Sarah. Sarah then gave me some jaffa cakes.

Oh, also thinking about it I was on tv at one point, the camera was recording me as I walked toward it (unbeknownst to me) but sort of swooped downward at the last second to get me out of shot so all that everyone saw was what looked like me picking my nose before the camera sort of moved through me!! Blush - it was winter and freezing and I had a cold, I was rubbing it, not picking, honest guv. Think that was for a documentary about the homeless living in our local city centre at Christmas time..

Relentless, no, we were in Regent's Park, something called the Big Picnic! 😂 I was also interviewed, asked what family meant to me, but it wasn't used. 😭 It was on ITV London news.

When I was a kid my baseball team were nearly selected to be in the famous advert for Sun Pat.

One of my brother’s friends was in the advert for Frosties where Tony is at Sea World or similar. There was a whale.

Plus a girl in DS’s year at school has been in loads of adverts as one of the main roles.

Firstimer703 · 07/11/2018 06:40

Selfridges when it opened in Birmingham. You couldn't actually see me after the edit but filmed on a very hot day on top deck of a bus dressed for winter because it opened in the Autumn. We nearly died lol

I was the main person in an ad for awareness of gynecological cancer. "Take your symptoms seriously, see your doctor !"
