'Walking' wellies

Can anyone recommend wellies that you can spend the day in, some walking, maybe? For me, not a child!

Goodyear. Live in mine.

GreenTulips · 30/10/2018 20:47

Look at the muck boot company (sale on)

BikeRunSki · 30/10/2018 20:51

I can, and do, wear my Dunlop safety wellies for hours, and walk 5+ miles. They cane from Arco. Assuming that you don’t work on building sites. and need safety boots, i’d Still recommend normal Dunlops.

I find walking boots and gaiters more comfy for wearing all day. I have some of the green Dunlop wellies which are fine for short walks but my feet get very sweaty in them and they don't support my feet the way that my walking boots do.
The walking boots and gaiters combo also works really well in deep snow as I found out last winter! (with the addition of some yaktrax ice grips)

TheFaerieQueene · 30/10/2018 20:58

My Aigle parcours with neoprene lining are fantastic. I walk miles a day in them.

Xiaoxiong · 30/10/2018 21:00

Aigle or Le Chameau. People rave about muck boots but I found them very heavy for walking a lot.

ColdNeverBotheredMeAnyway · 30/10/2018 21:00

I have lived in these:

Solognac Wellies

Cheap as chips, warm and comfy. I've worn them to death and I'm now going to buy a new pair. My only complaint is that they no longer do the pink ones, I'll have to go for turquoise

Nowhere · 30/10/2018 21:01

Another vote for Aigle parcours. Mine have been great.

Wolfiefan · 30/10/2018 21:02

Another vote for Aigle!

LizzieBennettDarcy · 30/10/2018 21:04

Aigle Parcours. Like walking on air, and keep your feet toasty warm.

HereBeFuckery · 30/10/2018 22:36

Welligogs.

Fucksgiven · 30/10/2018 22:38

Agile parcours here too. Muck boots for really shit yard work though

ScoobyGangMember · 30/10/2018 22:38

What's the sizing like with the aigle parcours?

Ylvamoon · 31/10/2018 08:29
Halloween Biscuit
Xiaoxiong · 31/10/2018 08:39

@ColdNeverBotheredMeAnyway omg those really are cheap!! Are they really worth it? Don't split along the side where they flex with your toes? And can you really walk miles in them?

OlderThanAverageforMN · 31/10/2018 08:43

Yet another Aigle parcours. Changed from Hunters a few years ago, as they became really bad quality, my three year old Aigles still going strong.

MaMisled · 31/10/2018 08:45

Aigle Parcours or Toggi Wanderers.

Floralnomad · 31/10/2018 08:51

Aigles are lovely and comfortable and I’m also on my second pair of Dublin river boots / country boots which last ages , are lightweight and comfortable enough to use as everyday footwear .

randomsabreuse · 31/10/2018 08:54

Hoggs and Grubs if Aigle is a ££ too far. Vibram sole makes a massive difference going up wet hills - no point having dry feet and a wet muddy arse, knees, and forearms...

fivedogstofeed · 31/10/2018 08:58

Aigle parcours. I can walk all day in them, and have done every day in the same pair for three years.
I put orthotic insoles in mine and they're my happy place now :)

Lisbon · 31/10/2018 09:21

Two years ago, after a LOT of research I ordered no less than 8 pairs of wellies from Amazon (the credit card took a massive hit)!

I tried them all and decided hands down on the Aigle Parcours - one of the best purchases I've ever done.

They are super comfortable
I walk miles in them
Relatively warm (for wellies)
Supportive
Flattering
Thanks to the adjustable calf have fitted me at my heaviest (and pregnant) and fit me now, after significant weight loss
They look good as new after two years of heavy use in the countryside

I'm EVANGELICAL about them

ScoobyGangMember · 31/10/2018 12:03

I've just ordered some aigle parcours. Green bronze were cheapest. Wonder what colour that is!

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 31/10/2018 12:18

I got my wellies from the market for 8 quid (Dunlop). I have had them for years. I live in the Lake District so they get a lot of hard core walking! They are really good apart from in the snow when they are just not warm enough.,

yolofish · 31/10/2018 12:56

cold thanks for that link, I've just ordered a black pair (new dog, winter approaching...!)

stayathomegardener · 31/10/2018 14:21

Watching with interest.
Should I stay tire to size in the Agile Parcours?
And yes bronze green?
