Last time you fancied anyone in real life

When was the last time you saw someone out and about, a stranger, and thought they were attractive?

I'm not some kind of perve honest, it's just I realised today it's been years since I actually found anyone attractive. Is this normal? I'm sure I used to.

It’s been years tbh. I still like to perv over old footage of Morten Harket on YouTube now and again though.

AhCheeses · 29/10/2018 23:04

My sister's friend. She's delicious.
My sister introduced me to her and I spent the rest of the day behaving like a socially awkward idiot. First real life girl crush.

SpoonBlender · 29/10/2018 23:59

Ah I picked up a girl crush at work a couple of months ago, first since my teens. New starter. She's just my sort of person too, but I can't befriend her in this state! Maybe next year...

mycatplotsdeath · 30/10/2018 00:46

A customer I use to see all the time in my old job.
He was 10 years younger than me but so good looking and charming.
He ended up moving onto the same street as me and lived next door but one.
Me and Dp ended up being invited to his wedding..., God he was a handsome groom 😀

My delivery guy
... He drops parcels to us a couple of times a week, and he is hot.

Partner just laughs at me from the kitchen

I had a massive crush on the PE teacher at DC1's school. He's left now though, I was gutted when he went.

WhoisyourDaddyandwhatdoeshedo · 30/10/2018 09:47

Honestly, I'm not just saying this but DP! I have been with him 4 years this month and no one comes close. everything about him is everything i could want!

I think thats why its been so long.

Ethelswith · 30/10/2018 09:54

I have a seriously good looking NDN, and he's terribly nice too.

No possibility of actual fancying, but do find myself enjoying the view sometimes

pumpastrotter · 30/10/2018 10:32

At the pub Friday night, bumped into an acquaintance and the gallops have arrived in full force Blush

I fancy far too many people, I'm as bad, if not worse, than I was when I was a teen. I love DH to pieces, fancy the pants off him, but for some reason form incredibly intense crushes all the time.

MeetMeInMontauk · 30/10/2018 10:33

A recent hire at our workplace is a real classical beauty. I am however at least ten years her senior, so will be exercising discretion rather than openly gawping, which would almost certainly be a creepy combination of unwelcome and unprofessional Blush

MorrisZapp · 30/10/2018 10:45

I fancy the guy in the workplace canteen. Great news, he fancies me too. I know this because of the care he takes of my tea order and the lovely smiles he gives me.

But folks, don't be my sister in law. Fancied the plumber. Told him. Now they're meeting in lay bys and doing tawdry things in the back among the pipes. Both married, it won't end well.

JoeElliotsMullet · 30/10/2018 10:48

The removal man who sounded like Rab C Nesbitt on the phone but turned out to be a dead ringer for Leonardo di Caprio, all lean and tanned and lovely. I was reduced to a tongue-tied wreck (with a baby on my hip) and was quite glad when he'd gone, a whole day of watching him casually carry enormous pieces of furniture as though they were feathers was more than I could cope with.

Not seen anyone I fancy for ages. I work in a university and there are hardly any nice looking lads that come in. We have a lot of nature students so not being a cradle snatcher. Perhaps I don't see anyone I like cos I'm not looking.

Tomboytown · 30/10/2018 12:14

Probably about 20 years
I’m only 45😩

PJBanana · 30/10/2018 12:36

Honestly, my DP. He gave me the gallops when I first met him at work 5 years ago. Still does now.

I very, very rarely fancy anyone. I occasionally see guys who I think are quite good looking, but that’s about it. Nobody brings out such a strong response as DP Blush

WhoisyourDaddyandwhatdoeshedo · 30/10/2018 14:12

PJBanana

Ahhh the same with me, It drives my DP mad sometimes becuase i just cannot leave him alone haha!

AhCheeses · 30/10/2018 18:44

@SpoonBlender , it's bonkers isn't it!?
Hope you manage to string a sentence together and have a conversation with her! 😁

MyGastIsFlabbered · 30/10/2018 20:03

I actually fancy the guy I've had two dates with but I'm scared of jinxing it.

NameChangeToAvoidBeingFound · 30/10/2018 20:32

I find fancying an odd concept as a thing, there are celebrities and the like that I enjoy looking at and I acknowledge when people I know are attractive it I tend to reserve the word fancy/fancying for people I know that I either become tongue tied around or flirt with.

queenofgoogle · 30/10/2018 20:39

A guy who works at the local consum in Spain where we go often.
A waiter at a local restaurant.
A neighbour.
A dad at school.
since I turned 30 I seem to fancy loads of men.

LuggsaysNotaWomen · 31/10/2018 10:46

Actually the Head at my kids school gives me the gallops but only when I make eye contact with him. Just to look at him, I’m not that fussed, but get very tounge tied and hot and bothered if I have to interact. It’s a weird physiological thing (perimenopause would be my guess) and I would rather it buggered off.

Mercifully for us both I rarely need to speak to him.

DuckofDoom · 31/10/2018 13:11

Right now I have a massive crush on a male friend (and have done for years!) and there’s a celebrity crush on the go too.

Been a long time since I had a crush on a stranger. I used to walk past a very good looking man on my way to work every morning, but that was 4 years ago now.
