Can someone please just tell me what vacuum to get?

Three flights of stairs, two cats, two kids, one Henry. Id be happy to keep the Henry for the main living area but I need something lightweight and cordless for the stairs. That can handle cat hair.

Another Shark Liftaway user here! Not sure if they do a cordless in the liftaway, but there are definitely cordless sharks. We got the pet attachment which is perfect for our stairs and was great when we had a fabric sofa. We bought it on a whim after I got fed up of the Henry and I haven't regretted it!

We've just bought a Shark cordless.
Amazing!
Had a Dyson before. Shark way better!
We have a 3 story house & battery last to hoover throughout.
It's a game changer!!

It's not cordless, but it converts into a portable. It makes doing my stairs much much easier.

Shark lift away here too its fab! I was going to buy new carpets but the shark makes them look like new.
Its not cordless but its amazing for stairs!

I've owned Henry, Miele and Shark..Henry was ok. Miele was fantastic. Shark is amazing.

Miele Cat and Dog is the best vac I have ever bought. So strong it could suck the pattern off a carpet.

Dysons are shite. And I cannot buy any of his products due to his stance on Brexit - demanding EU subsidies for his farms but then moving his production to Malaysia. No investment in UK jobs.

And lets be honest. His vacs and hand driers are shite.

Get an extra long Henry hose and consider a 13Amp extension lead (make sure it's a 13Amp one).

I have a Henry. I also have a Bosch athlet and had a Dyson
I've just got a shark liftaway cordless and it is by far the best of them all. It has 2 batteries and they charge on their own charger so it doesn't have to be wall mounted
The Bosch is terrible to split into a handheld and, although it's mainly good, it just pushed big bits around. Ex H has taken it with my blessing
Henry is always good but too cumbersome. I haven't had Henry out since I got the shark

And the light on it means you can clean in the darkGrin
And, when split the hand held part looks like a futuristic laser gun so could be used to hold up a bank or threaten a burglar. Me and DS wander round pretending to zap each other

Perhaps it's not called liftaway but it is orange, cordless, 2 batteries and separated into handheld

How lightweight is the shark? My mums Dyson is too heavy for her now so she wants a new one (and I get the Dyson yippee)

Shark duo cordless with two batteries and a dual charger. Takes 10 seconds to slip out one battery cassette and put the other one in, never any need to wait for it to charge up.

Shark liftaway is by far the bast vaccum I have ever owned! I have the pet one. Makes doing the stairs so easy! Also on their website you can pay by 4 monthly installments of 49.99 :)
