Just that question really!
I'm curious and at 32 weeks, this is feeling like countdown territory.
Birthing stories very welcome too!

39+6 for ds-my first, contractions started at 11.30am, every 4 mins lasting 30secs right from the off, called oh home & had a bath, contractions got worse, so called maternity unit at 1pm, they said to go in when they became unbearable, (but it was dec 2010 & there was loads of snow) so we went straight away, waters broke at 3pm & ds turned up at 17.07! No pain relief (couldn't get the gas & air to work).

38+1 for dd1, waters broke at midnight, went to hospital at 3am, she came in a lovely, relaxing birth pool at 5.54am, no pain relief again.

39+4 for dd2, waters broke at 4am, went to hospital at 6am when the contractions really ramped up, they started running the birth pool, then the contractions stopped, I told them I hadn't felt her move all night, they listened to her heart, said she was fine & tried to send me home, I refused to go & said something wasn't right, they really pressured me to go, so I went to the toilet before, & it was green, so told them, they didn't look, but put me on a ctg, babies heart rate fell & then they checked me & her cord had prolapsed, so she was emergency caesarean at 10.38am.

Beingginger · 27/10/2018 01:58

40+6, in fact it’s her birthday today!
I was in labour for 48 hours before hand mind you.

39 weeks exactly

disneydatknee · 27/10/2018 02:19

2 weeks overdue with both of mine. I tried all the tricks. Sex. Pineapple. Spicy food. Did not work. They came out when they were good and ready.

GoBigOrange · 27/10/2018 03:59

My son was due in mid-July. We live in the Southern US and of course it was hotter and sweatier than Satan's bum hole and generally a miserable time to be massively pregnant. So of course the dear child made me suffer another 8 days after my due date before finally putting in an appearance.

xsahm · 27/10/2018 04:46

a day shy of 42 weeks, I was induced 40+10 and induction took 3 days

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/10/2018 05:05

42 weeks + 3 days. I think I got the dates mixed up when I went to the ante natal appointment. It was nearer 44 weeks. Even then they had to go in to get her. She wasn't coming out

Tattandthis · 27/10/2018 05:07

42+1.

Induction.

All my following came naturally and on time but DS1 was a lazy little thing. Still is.

Daisychainsandglitter · 27/10/2018 05:50

40+2

JosellaPlayton · 27/10/2018 05:55

38+6 with an ELCS. Had been checked at my pre-op 3 days prior and head wasn’t even engaged so I reckon I would have gone overdue left to my own devices.

Maccycheesefries · 27/10/2018 06:00

Dc was in s hurry so decided to come at 28 weeks and he's not much different now, always in a hurry.

prettyisoverrated · 27/10/2018 06:35

DC1 was 40+11, was booked for induction but he arrived the evening before after 36hours of on and off contractions, two failed epidurals and then a massive PPH.

Somehow, despite vowing never to do it again after my first DC2 cane along a few years later, was a totally different experience, I started feeling a bit uncomfortable during the afternoon, by9pm I decided it was time to go in, arrived at hospital at 10.15pm and had him at 2.15am and was home eating KFC at 1pm that afternoon!

LaDaronne · 27/10/2018 07:29

On his due date, about seven hours start to finish including an EMCS because he got stuck. Would probably have been an hour shorter otherwise. DD two years later was under two hours start to finish.

Lauren83 · 27/10/2018 07:34

Induced at 38, born by section at 38.3

underneaththeash · 27/10/2018 07:39

Between 41+3 and 42+2 - scan dates weren't conclusive as I didn't know I was pregnant until later on in the pregnancy. My placenta had failed by this point though, so subsequent babies were induced at 41 weeks.

SelinaMyers · 27/10/2018 07:40

40 + 2. Contractions started at 11, waters broke around 3am, arrived at the hospital at 6am and DD was born at 8:31.
