DH says hideous hunting lodge, I reckon cosy!

Christmassy 🎅🤶

Love it. Waiting for hell to freeze over my bedroom to be painted white so I can buy some.

Honeyroar · 15/10/2018 19:28

If in a fairly natural colour and teamed with plain throws and cushions it can look really cosy.

Where are you all getting your brushed cotton sets from? Have you bought them this year? I really want some!

Cosy and lovely. But I love basically all tartans. We have a nice heathery coloured one with a plain purple throw for winter. I made matching cushions and they are my pride and joy!

MyBabyBoyBlue · 15/10/2018 19:31

Snuggling with my DS in our brushed cotton tartan duvet as I type!

TheSageofOnions · 15/10/2018 19:33

Depends on the tartan.

marjolaine · 15/10/2018 19:34

Another vote for cosy; I love it 👍

That sounds beautiful Envy

Next have a lot of Lewis check in but it's very bright. I might keep my eyes peeled for slightly less gaudy colours.

Cosy :)

Fatted · 15/10/2018 19:38

I like it but prefer my bedding a bit more pink, flowery and such.

I have a lovely red and blue set for my boys.

madmum5811 · 15/10/2018 19:44

Love American comforters. Found a replacement one through pinterest. I orderered from Macys You can change the look of the room without all the expense of changing the bedding, when it is hot you can sleep under it rather than the duvet. A bonus is it stops the duvet sliding around by weighing it down.

BiscuitDrama · 15/10/2018 19:47

I’d always read comforter to mean duvet. Is it more like a quilt?

madmum5811 · 15/10/2018 19:49

yes it is like a quilt, reversible, really retro I suppose but my friend bought me a set from the USA years ago and I was hooked.

Thatstheendofmytether · 15/10/2018 19:51

I love it bit I can't find one to go with bed. Honestly silver crushed velvet bed is the worst purchase I've ever made nothing goes with it 😭

Twodogsandahooch · 15/10/2018 19:52

Very mid 1990s. I think we all had checked or tartan duvets at uni.

BatFacedOK · 15/10/2018 20:14

Hideous. I only have white or pale grey covers though. However I buy brushed cotton ones in those shades

Honeyroar · 15/10/2018 20:21

A light grey tartan would be lovely though Batfaced...

SinglePringle · 15/10/2018 20:21

Awful. Tacky. But I only have crisp, white, cotton bedlinen and turn my bed into a winter nest via 2 cashmere throws.

letsgetreadytosamba · 15/10/2018 22:34

Crisp doesn’t sound good for snuggling

EustaciaPieface · 15/10/2018 22:42

I just bought this and I love it www.marksandspencer.com/vintage-checked-brushed-cotton-bedding-set/p/p60194518?prevPage=srp in the grey marl

Idontmeanto · 15/10/2018 22:46

Wouldn’t go in my flowery bedroom, but I love them. All snuggly and Christmassy.

VenusClapTrap · 15/10/2018 22:46

Hideous. Tartan should be reserved for children’s pyjamas.

(Unless you are in Scotland, in which case anything goes)

EnidButton · 16/10/2018 01:20

I do love plain white bedding the best. Big fat velvet quilts on top and super soft faux fur blankets for Winter cosiness.

Soft brushed cotton tartan pj bottoms for lounging around.

Don't think tartan bedding is for me but definitely get the appeal.

Dontfeellikeamillenial · 16/10/2018 01:30

Cosy. Love 'em.
