The jingle of yak bells beneath my window! I am walking up to the Edmund Hillary school today. Grin

Woke up to the blustering wind. Relieved that I'd had a good night's sleep for once. Always sleep well when it's windy, I find the noise soothing.

I woke up to the sound of next door's gutter dripping after a stormy night and Ds2 shoving my glasses on my face and ripping my duvet off me.

@Moosebetimeforsummer - presumably Canada, whereabouts?

sandgrown · 13/10/2018 07:54

Yak bells sound lovely. Woke to the sound of torrential rain here .

AngryAttackKittens · 13/10/2018 07:57

I think the question may be what sound the yaks themselves make. Suspect it may be a lot less soothing than the bells!

Beautiful op!
Much nicer than my awakening at 7.30 this morning. The skip company finally turned up to collect it, from the drive. Hmm

AngryAttackKittens · 13/10/2018 09:44

Gorgeous! Are you planning to do any serious climbing while you're there?

nannytothequeen · 13/10/2018 10:48

No serious climbing for me. Far too unfit. This is the end of a month away. I've been working here.

I woke up (at 4am!!) to a 3yo puking.

My DP did the trek to base camp a few years back. He still gets blown away when he looks at the pics!!

Well this morning's wake up was thanks to DS, who is in a different time zone for an interview. My phone rang at 5am and he asked me (very nicely after I pointed out it was still dark outside chez moi) to go to his bedroom and find a paper he had scribbled something on, take a photo, and text the photo to him. I stumbled around in the dark and eventually got back to bed where I was joined by the cat, who did not bite me this time.
