WTF do I do now? Hairdressers

Biancadelriosback · 12/10/2018 10:10

Okay, so I arrived at the salon and it was closed. Hairdresser was 15 mins late for my app. I've never been here before so had no idea what to expect. I'm sat in what feels like an old office chair in front of a bejewelled mirror (homemade?) with foils in my hair. Apparently there is a £5 surcharge for my length (not outlined on the voucher). So far my layers have been cut in and when I say they are choppy...I mean...very obvious and drastic. I'm hoping she is going to revisit this after my foils are off....I'm terrified of the colour!

What do I do? What's if it's awful? I've literally never complained about a haircut before, although I have had many bad ones. Usually I just wear it up and grab a box dye if it's really bad but I want to woman up! I call upon the power of MN, help me?

Fingers crossed for you. I have had one good and one bad Groupon hair cut experience. Hope this turns out well for you!

Knittedfairies · 12/10/2018 10:43

Oh dear... I hope it turns out well.

beeefcake · 12/10/2018 10:44

I've had hair cut before fouls but only because I wanted about 8 inches off the length so she decided it was pointless including it in the foils. Maybe a similar approach has been taken and she will cut the layers in properly when it's done? I hope so! Keep us updated.

I want to see pictures of the mirror!!!!

THats a good point from beeefcake. Fingers crossed for more haircutting after washing...

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/10/2018 10:56

Hopefully she was just taking some length of before hand & as pp have said will blend them all properly after.

Missingstreetlife · 12/10/2018 11:05

Make her do it again if you are not happy, unless she is incompetent, then run and complain to groupon. She will be looking for good review and reccomendations, if not ask groupon about compensation.
There is a salon in my area called 'it will grow back' I suppose they're being funny but it's true

Biancadelriosback · 12/10/2018 11:09

I've had great Groupons in the past so I was fairly confident. There are hundreds of hairdresser's in the city and most are on Groupon tbh obviously except the big chains.

Erm, ive just left. She practically chased me out. I asked for a caramel colour, like the colour in my ends and I'm now blonde. Bright blonde. And stripey. Thick stripes. She never came back to my layers so was a dry cut and that's it. Hasn't touched my fringe. She kept saying "oh it's short anyways" when it is actually sitting at eye level so poking me in the eye unless I blow dry it round like chavs did in the 90s.

I tried to say that the colour was too light but she just kept saying that it's caramel and it darkens....it's fucking bleach! I've got a really bad version of "the Rachel"

Biancadelriosback · 12/10/2018 11:17

My mum's reaction:

"Oh! That's not what I was expecting pause what do you think?"

Absla · 12/10/2018 11:18

Oh god disaster!

BadderWolf · 12/10/2018 11:19

Shock did you give a pick of what you wanted? Can you not go back and tell her a dry cut is not ok and she needs to sort it out now? What do you mean chased you out?

sadnessin · 12/10/2018 11:20

Oh no op!!!

Pinkgeorge · 12/10/2018 11:21

Oh god !!!!

Loveatthefiveanddime · 12/10/2018 11:22

Did you pay anything - sorry not sure how groupon works.

BobLemon · 12/10/2018 11:23

How long in total were you in there? I can’t believe it’s over already.

ihopeyoubitchesareready · 12/10/2018 11:25

u need to complain op.

spiderlight · 12/10/2018 11:27

Oh no! have a fortifying cuppa and then go back and ask her to put it right.

Flatasapancakenow · 12/10/2018 11:27

Can you take a photo and edit it so your face is scribbled out? Maybe it isn't as bad as you think.

Juells · 12/10/2018 11:27

How much did it cost?

Redken24 · 12/10/2018 11:29

Try getting a blue shampoo to neutralise the blonde. Definitely complain.

Gemini69 · 12/10/2018 11:30

are you okay OP ?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 12/10/2018 11:32

Oh no, I'd be complaining! Although it sounds like she knows she's cocked it up by the way she got you out the door.

sexnotgender · 12/10/2018 11:34

That sounds dreadful!! Definitely complain to groupon.
