Is suiting the car you drive a thing?

My friend was very flattered to be told yesterday that she suited the car she drove. I can’t even begin to think of factoring in whether you suit a car when buying one! (Not sure that she actually did, but still!).

Anyway - got me thinking. I drive a fiat (using the term “drive” loosely - it starts on probably 2 times out of 10). So if my fiat suits me - what am I like?!

I’m thinking there’s mileage (hah) in this for a mn game - tell us what you drive and we’ll describe you. Or pick a car and tell us what sort of owners it suits?!

Ps My lovely Ds drives an Audi - just trying to preempt any insults ...

My husband's car when I met him looked just like his cat. Or perhaps the cat looked like his car?

PickAChew · 10/10/2018 22:52

DH drives a 7 year old Toyota Avensis tourer. I don't drive, but we chose it together. It suits him very much, especially when he comes home with 2.5m of fascia board to make a windowsill out of.

10 plate Ford Smax in black or Graphite if you want the posh paint name. I can't drive it yet, my test is next month Confused< not confused, just wibbling, but I do love it.

WrenNatsworthy · 11/10/2018 00:23

Do me!

I drive an ancient Vauxhall Agila. Silver.

stonesandsticks · 11/10/2018 14:41

I once bought clothing to match my lovely brand new car and also dyed my hair a similar shade!

I now drive a large silver old car with a big boot, and can't actually remember what specific model it is. I didn't even ask what colour it was when I sent DH to test drive/buy it on my behalf when my lovely car died. What does that say about how my life has changed!
