I have got £260 worth of vouchers from there and have never been.in one. I am hoping I can use them in the wine department.

Cherry bakewell ice cream you say? Road trip Moocoo?

They have good offers, but generally the selection of goods isn’t amazing in our local one. Every time they start selling something new that I like they bloody well stop selling it a couple of weeks later.

Either buy wine or hang on to them for when something electrical breaks.

They also sell beds, in case you’re in need of a new bed or mattress.

We have a lovely small Co-op nearby - it's just always nice and clean with pleasant staff and none of the misery you see in the nearest Tesco Express. And a really good gluten free range, even in a pretty small shop. I love the Co-op.

I use our local one as a convenience store. The food is lovely! It can be quite expensive though.

If you have a members card (£1 and not just a gimmick like Sainsbos or Boots) then you ‘own’ a share in the co-op.
That means that you get 5% back on your purchases (in cash) and an additional 1% gets put into a community fund which members vote for. Our local Women’s Refuge has received quite a bit of cash recently as well as local special needs charity and various other local causes.

Watching this thread with interest as I've just received 5 x £10 Co-op vouchers for taking out house insurance with them.

Our local one is very good but I usually only spend about £5-£6 a time in there, so need some ideas to boost my basket up to £10-worth, as they don't give any change from the vouchers.

...Cherry bakewell ice-cream, you say? Grin

I use it for top up shops. I also have an NUS card, so get 10% off everything in the shop (bar fags, baby milk and lottery) so buy most of our booze in there. That plus the membership card, and I save the money on that for a bottle of champagne at Christmas.

It's no more expensive normally than Waitrose or Sainsbury's IMO, and they focus on local producers which I like.

Their meat is fabulous.
