Kevin McCloud's voice.
Used to be in love with Grand Designs, over and over. Watched EVERY episode.
Now - I can't bear to listen (DH still watching them and feeling the love).
Sorry Kevin - it's me not you!
This thread isn't about lovely Kevin btw! Just an example :)
Yours?

'Sex, i can't even be bothered to have it with myself'
YES!
In fact l think l can agree with everything everyone has said so far , I am 57 and l am wondering if it is to do with the menopause or do younger women & men feel like this too?

Solo · 03/10/2018 09:38

Oh, yes! I hate shopping for anything these days.

I don't really like kids anymore either.

Birthdays.

Christmas.

The smell of cigarette smoke! That's a massive one.

Hard to believe that the smoking in public places ban is only 11 years old. I am repulsed by the smell now but how normal did it used to be for everything to reek of smoke after a night out.

Speakeasy22 · 03/10/2018 10:18

Children in swimming pool changing rooms. So noisy and uncontrolled. Never used to be like that - honest. It’s not me, I’m sure..

MrsMarigold · 03/10/2018 10:34

Sniffing, other people doing it, DS is a dreadful sniffer, it almost launches me into orbit, before I wouldn't have noticed.

Boris Johnson, ok as mayor of London, now so wrong.

High heels, if I have to wear them now my feet ache and I get grouchy.

Chocolate, I used to love the stuff now it's too sweet and bleurgh.

I'm 42 and have felt this way for about 7 or 8 years! Can't be bothered at all.

Alcohol - I wasn't a big drinker but did enjoy a glass or to or nice wine, or a couple of pints of proper beer. Now it just makes me feel dull, fuzzy headed and ridiculously thirsty. I end up with a headache before I've even gone to bed and feel awful next day. So I can't even be bothered to have a drink these days!

Roomba · 03/10/2018 10:48

I should have bolded my first sentence above - I haven't been drinking, honest Grin

Thighofrelief · 03/10/2018 10:56

I'm 49 but i don't think it's the menopause that's made me grumpy. In fact, i think I'm very pleasant i think I just know myself better and only want to do what i want to do. I've spent so much of my life subsuming my wants that I have run out of patience.

My mum is mid 80s and i was telling her I truly don't care about so many things. She fixed me with her gimlet eye "imagine how i feel" - it's going to get worse people!

Thighofrelief · 03/10/2018 10:58

People trying to speak to me when I'm concentrating or not interested. Or before the first 2, yes that's 2, coffees of the day.

Yy to pornography. I used to be quite right on about it, now I think even page 3 is just bad for everyone's psyche.

Ittakestwo · 03/10/2018 11:15

YY to the Labour Party, Jamie Oliver, celebs, smoking, "thinking positive" and misuse of the term OCD.

London. The crowds give me a headache.

Snooks1971 · 03/10/2018 19:33

Yes yes! Just catching up!

Yes to the soaps, going out for a drink (why just why, what a bloody effort when staying at home is easier, cheaper, better), Big Brother!

Clothes shopping definitely too

Also, my feet. Don't like feet in general but my hobbit feet were passable even 5 years ago. Now my hands look better than my feet, although they barely ever see the light of day Confused

Big brother. I was quite young watched the first few years now I can't bloody stand it. They just pick the biggest shit stirring drama Llamas they can find and it's so fake! Same as most reality shows now so dramatized it's cringey.

Tara336 · 03/10/2018 19:43

Most reality tv, X factor, I’m a celebrity, big brother ..

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 03/10/2018 20:21

I stopped feeling the love for Corrie years ago when Emily Bishop protested by occupying a tree on the Red Rec. Couldn't take it seriously after that.

Buying jeans. They all seem to make my fat knees look fatter. Even when I've found a style that didn't seem too bad, when I've re-bought them they've narrowed them around the knees (yes, really, I've measured them) and made them out of cheaper fabric. Yes Sainsbury's Tu, I'm looking at you!

Complicated beauty regimes. Despite my fizzog needing it more, my willingness to engage reduces. I can just about manage cleanse, moisturise and eye cream and the odd mask and exfoliation. Be gone you serums that promise the earth and don't deliver.
